Good extension Rated 4 out of 5 stars

It does seems useful. But it doesn't look seamless enough as the page loaded should do so from cache because server may lag and it'll be perceived as "you got rattled for some reason" by boss. Also would be good to have auto-close loaded page and revert UI and focus back the last page on the same (F12) key.

Does what it says. Sometimes, though, you might press the Boss Key by mistake and be momentarily confused as to where your tabs went (blame yourself for that, though).

Fix Needed Rated 3 out of 5 stars

When you enable the options:
Open a new tab and load url
Minimize windows
It minimizes but doesn't load the new url immediately.
If someone uses Alt-Tab till it comes up they'll see the page you're trying to hide.
It needs to load the new page first, then minimize.

A great addon. Here is a suggestion that could make it even better.

Allow multiple F12 to cause actions sequentially. For example:

F12 once - Minimize tabbar
F12 twice - Opens new tab/homepage or some other page as per settings
F12 thrice - Minimize window

And reverse these actions by Shift+F12
Shift+F12 once - Maximize window
Shift+F12 twice - Close new tab and/or Go to previous tab
Shift+F12 thrice - Show tab bar again

You can give the users the option to eliminate any one of these sequential operations. This way somebody could use it for many purposes
1. To hide tabbar and get more screenspace
2. To open homepage or google search or whatever
3. Minimize Firefox

But this would work best only if you make all settings configurable and optional

In Firefox 11 this extension is working perfectly, but you have to set the correct options.
I selected to activate it by mouse and by boss key.
I also selected to open a new page (Google search) and to hide the tab bar.
When I now press F12 (or press the left and right mosebutton) then all my active tabs are hidden (the complete tab bar) and a new Google window is opened.
Perfect for the boss.

crap Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Doesn't hide it really.
The windows is just minimized, and when your boss tells you he found something online, and wants you to go that website, he will quickly see what you were doing before he came to you.

great extension!
but i'd like to see an option to completely hide Firefox or move it to tray and a global hotkey to restore it

one or two improvements ... Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Great (4 stars), but ... would be excellent (5 stars) if one could
1) choose the "panic button" (ie : CTRL + 1)
2) Hide from taskbar
3) relaunch it with the same panic button

... once panic is gone ...;-)

This add-on eliminated the suggestions for the spell checker.

Works a treat to make all those embarrassing windows disappear in a trice BUT the webpage I entered in Options did not show up until rather late which meant that just my screensaver/desktop was in display in all its nakedness for too long. I have solved , though, by opening an "innocent" webpage in Internet Explorer which, of course remains after the panic button is pressed.

It is also not so clear how to restore. Took me a google "how to" search to find out. It is simple: go to Tools and click on BossKnb Restore

Works well except on Java windows. Many chat rooms / sites use pop-up Java windows and unfortunately these stay open / active when using Boss Key and Buttons. Any chance of fixing that?

Nicely done! Love that I'm able to use the two mouse keys to minimize and if my boss wants me to check on something that requires FF, love that he'll see a predetermined web page of my choosing when I maximize instead of that totally non-work-related page I was browsing when he walked into my office. :-)
