A must-have indeed. Just have a look at the following article which refers to 'BetterPrivacy' as a, if not "the" solution (for Firefox users anyway) :

Not only do I highly recommend this add-on -- essential IMO -- but would I really be happy to have the facts behind the purpose of this add-on as well as this add-on itself, be spread by all users.

Do we all know that more and more websites, aware that more and more users handle their cookies in the face of advertisement, move their tracking strategy towards these super-cookies, even sometimes when Flash has not been called ! Yes, sir !

Let us surf placidly !

Indispensable for who is committed to one's privacy.
But the latest version on the author's homepage is 1.31 and has been for a few weeks now. Why isn't it here as well?

Indispensable for anyone concerned with privacy issues. Works fine, and is adjustable to one's quota privacy/functionality related to flash cookies and DOM storage : the user sets things the way he wants. Very well done.
