Mac problem Rated 3 out of 5 stars

when I installed this on my PC it worked fine however when I installed in in my Mac, Firefox stopped starting and it crashes every time I try to, I have no idea how to restore it now
its still a great addon and I would love to get it working

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.15).

As a first aid

and to restore Firefox functionality, please try the following steps:

1. Open the folder where Firefox.exe is installed (e.g. C:/Programs/Firefox/)

2. Start Firefox using a typed command line as follows:
"firefox.exe -safe-mode" (without quotes!)

(you may use a DOS-box or something like that on a Mac to enter this command)

3. As Firefox launches you will be asked about safe mode details. Just check the "Disable all addons" checkbox to temporarily disable all installed extensions.

4. AfterFirefox started successfully in safe mode, go to the extension list and uninstall the BetterPrivacy addon. Restart Firefox to apply all changes.

On my side I will check to what extend BetterPrivacy could be responsible for the problems mentioned in your report. If there exists a bug, I will offer an update, for sure.

If possible, please contact me using the email address shown on my homepage's Impressum page. Any further information to trace the problem is appreciated.

Thank you!
