Unused tubs successfully unloaded, but the memory usage was not decreased... And the size of FireFox in RAM not decreased...
You are make the good basic platform for the automatic tab management, but you should to do something for the freeing of the memory! (FireFox 3.6.3, WinXP Pro)
It does not work that way
First of all, BarTab *does* seem to save memory in a real way, as for instance this blog post from a French community member demonstrates: http://blog.admin-linux.org/logiciels-libres/testbartab-extension-firefox-usage-memoire-cpu.
Second of all, BarTab can only operate within the bounds of Firefox's memory management. My personal observations are that unloading tabs will *eventually* reduce memory, probably due to the garbage collector collecting unused objects late. It also leads to less memory *increase* when new tabs are opened after older ones have been unloaded. Point is, BarTab's effect on memory is long-term, not short-term.
