hello
when is AnyColor3.3 enabled not working color of Background in tab mix plus

A simple request.... that would please many Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is one of those add-ons that many many people will badly miss if it's not updated to work with Firefox 4. I understand you no longer have a desire to further develop this extension but having this work with the next major iteration of Mozilla browser would mean so much to so many. AnyColor really is a first class add-on with no equivalent. Sorry Personas, but your playing second fiddle.

The Best Theme Tweak Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Any Color is by far superior to that interloping pest, "Personas" I love being able to switch between several of my own created themes without upload them to some 3rd party site. I can switch between my saved themes easily. It makes it easy to keep my browser in sync with my mood.

Keep up the good work!

Now I'm confused. Here is a new version with no explanation on usability...here or on the author's blog?????????

Great add-on...still using older version of FF for compatibility.

Is AnyColor back? My Firefox just showed me a update! (v3.3). I've been modifying the install.rdf file whenever a new Firefox update came out. I really hope I'm not dreaming, this is too good to be true!

I have been utilizing the "AnyColor" add on for at least two years. I find it to be a refreshing look for my Firefox browser. I have experienced no problems with "AnyColor" in all this time except when somebody got the bright idea to link "Personnas" to the program. With "Personnas" linked to "AnyColor" there were conflicts that would cause "AnyColor" to not function properly. I would rate "AnyColor" performance at five stars as a stand alone browser enhancement.

Anycolor surpasses Personas in all aspects. You have the skinning ability from Personas built into Anycolor, but with this addon it skins your browser correctly not to mention the tweaks with color and appearance that makes Firefox look even better. You can also save any of you customized layouts and switch between them when desired. I really hope that Anycolor will continue to be updated and stay with the Firefox community for a very long time. I am a developer, but haven't done any development for Firefox addons. I wouldn't mind taking this project on myself to continue updating it for future versions of Firefox if the author decides to completely stop updating this addon. Please do not let this addon disappear or provide the source code to be available for download. I have several addons that I consider first rate and this is one of them. Personas was and is a complete disappointment and I cannot stand it, so I regardless of what happens with Anycolor I will not use Personas, they have a huge amount of work to do to get it even close to Anycolor.

Beautifully simple!

Just a slight niggle - using firefm, the track progress in the status bar either shows as blue or light blue which looks ugly / almost invisible respectively depending which preset is selected. When AnyColor is disabled, it looks fine (black text).

This is my favorite addon. I love how it has Personas from the Persona addon, and has simple colors to choose from, too. I give this two thumbs up!

Awesome way to customize the boring default style.

Thank you very much for the update!!

Unlike what it says on pavlost's blog, Personas are no substitute for AnyColor which IMO is vastly superior to personas.

Thanks again!!!

So glad to finally have AnyColor working again on FF (even if it's still in experimental mode)! I loved using it on previous FF version and was so disappointed as later builds of FF came along which made it incompatible to use for some time. It great to also see the Personas thing working too, as I remembered the last time I used AnyColor (before it had stopped working completely before this version), the Personas option didn't work well with it at all--frankly it didn't work, period.

Keep up the good work!

In older versions of AnyColor & Personas, I could use them both together, and edit the Personas themes to suit me using AnyColor (and I could also use other themes than the Firefox default). I can accept using the Firefox default, but I just cannot get AnyColor & Personas to work together anymore. I can get one or the other, but that's it. I've followed 'justbrowsing's' tips exactly, and they just won't work together for me with FF3.6. I love AnyColor, but loved being able to use it with Personas and change some of the weird text colors that came with some Personas. AnyColor alone though, is great!!!!

I love this add-on. It's the only one I have found that lets me easily design my browser skin with my own photos, etc. Personas supposedly does this, but it doesn't work for me. This one is much more user friendly as far as I am concerned. I was so glad to find the experimental version after the message told me the version I had was not compatible with the new version of firefox.

Disappointed Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Rather disappointed to be honest. It's a nice idea but it's lacking a lot of things that I was looking for. Firstly, it doesn't seem compatible with personas, I'm not even sure how others are claiming that, the 2 ad ons seem fundamentally incompatible. Secondly the main thing I was looking for was a way to change the colours of the default firefox buttons (back, forward, refresh etc.) so that they match my personas... many add ons promise this but I have yet to find one that actually delivers on that promise, including this one.

In summary, this add on seems like it has potential, but at the moment is not what I am looking for.
