Most of the time I don't even notice I have this installed. That's a good thing, because a title on the window is the way Firefox was meant to work, and this addon brings it home just nicely. The only problem is that some themes don't clash well with the addon, mostly color-wise; an option to customize it would be great.

Thank you! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This feature is REQUIRED for general usability. I don't know why it was removed at all.

Thank you so much for this :)

almost good! Rated 4 out of 5 stars

the problem with it is that it uses "-moz-MenuBarText" color for the title text, which is not in any way related to the window title background...

for example, my windows theme is dark colored- and the addon displays the title in black color by force, making the title unreadable (as it's black color on dark blue on my case).

i guess the developer wanted to show the black color on white glow but, for example, my windows theme doesn't support this.

can you please fix this to use the actual windows theme window-title font color? or at least make the color customizable?

EDIT: for anyone who also has a different theme than the one that the developer has and wants to fix this on his own:
turn firefox off, open up the .xpi file in 7zip, edit the aero-overlay.xul, find string "-moz-MenuBarText" and replace it with "CaptionText", close and save everything, turn firefox back on again

Does what it promises Rated 4 out of 5 stars

It does what it promises - shows the full title in the title bar. The tab is just too short for showing the full title and I don't want to hover the mouse over the tab all the time just to see the full tab title. All in all, this is very useful. The only downside is that there is no any configurability. With some configuration options (mainly the font), I'd give it full five stars.

It works Rated 4 out of 5 stars

this is a good working addon, but it will be great if i'm able to change the font, font size and font color.

Version for Dark Window Themes Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Here is a modified version with White text so the title will show up on window borders when using dark themes.

http://www.mediafire.com/?hrhl8aqae8erui8

For those curious, the change was to add :
cx.fillStyle = "rgb(255, 255, 255)";

Right after :
cx.font = 'message-box';
cx.fillStyle = '-moz-MenuBarText';
cx.textBaseline = 'middle';

In :
aero-overlay.xul

This does work with Windows XP... Rated 4 out of 5 stars

with one quick change to the aero-overlay.css file:

#aero-titlebar-stack {
margin-bottom:-25px !important;
}

with that change it works perfectly in XP. Would be nice if the developer added a way to change the font, font size, font color and font style (i.e. bold, italic, etc.).

Almost perfect! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

The only thing against it is that it doesn't work with dark personas. The background of the text is whitened a little, but it needs to be whitened way more!

Simple and Effective Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It does exactly what it's supposed to do: it adds the Page Title to the top of the window for Aero. Due to its simplicity, I would suppose that it is unlikely to interfere with other add-ons.

Does not work with XP.

Firefox on Windows XP by default shows the regular menu. If you turn that off, you should get a Firefox button and I think that this extension will work. But I haven't tried it recently.

Thank you, for the fix (version 1.6), to get the Title back with Firefox 7 (nightlies).
Great extension.

I canNOT believe I have to install this! But I'm SOOO glad it's here!

BTW I'm not using Aero and it works fine. The only thing missing is the firefox logo but I think that's about firefox 4 more than the add-on.

great addon. this should really be achievable without an addon though. for people who don't put their 'tabs on top' there's no need in having that blank space up there with no title.
you may want to consider adding some options for font manipulation. like color, size, adjustment (I kinda want to center mine).

Very good extension, I was missing title ....

One small problem :
I got tabs on bottom.
In full screen mode, there is empty space between title bar and location bar(buttons.
In window mode, there is no empty space.
Hope you can fix it (I have a 800 pix heigth screen and always in full screen mode, and i hate loosing space :) )

[Edit v1.6] Great ! no more lost space. Thanks a lot.
If you could add some option to configure font, it would be 6 stars :)

Works perfectly! Just what I needed -- it was driving me crazy to see a big blank space and no titles :)

problem solved! it seems that when the menu bar is active you also get the title bar. to hide the title bar you have disable the menu bar. I'm not sure if this extension caused the problem, but it is solved now

Classic theme font color Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Great extention but I can't read the title under the classic theme as the font is black on dark blue. Any chance you can change the font color to white (or whatever windows default is) when Aero isn't supported. * yes I know this add-on is called Aero window title but it would nice to support the classic theme too.

"Firefox" in window title has its uses Rated 4 out of 5 stars

As far as the words "Mozilla Firefox" in the window title: many automation & macro apps identify windows based on the fixed part of the window title. Without "Firefox" some macros couldn't ID the FF window properly. I do agree that this could be optional. No need for "Firefox" in the title for those who don't use macros. Would be nice to see some color settings, as the title is hard to read on dark backgrounds.
