In a little more detail...
Hi, my name's Andy, and I'm a Freelance Developer. I also enjoy writing freeware, extensions, themes, and building and fixing computers.
Add-ons I've created
See where you're clicking! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Quick little previews that let you know what it is you'll be looking at before you click can save so much time when you're looking for something specific or trying to find a site you once saw. I'm surprised Google hasn't implemented something like this in their search results by default. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.22).
Global Awareness! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
It's pretty interesting to see where the content you're looking at is coming from, and also helpful to avoid phishing scams. The GeoTool, Wiki, and Whois are a wonderful touch as well, making this extension more useful than you'd expect. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.3.16).
Saves UI Space and Looks Great Rated 5 out of 5 stars
The progress bar for page loading belongs in the address bar. It just makes sense for progress to show there. The added customization makes even more sense. Extra space in the status bar never hurt either!
Web Developer's Best Friend Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Firebug will tell you exactly what code is used to make what object on a website. The highlighting, side CSS/Layout/DOM display, and instant editing let you find any issue and attempt to fix it live before saving the fix in the source code. This extension is going to be a favorite with Website Developers for years to come. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.4.3).
Fairly Useful Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Download Statusbar is convenient. That's the main draw for it. Why have a separate window for downloads when there's so much space at the bottom of your page? You can easily see downloads and their speeds with color coding, pause them, resume them, open them when they're done, and remove them when you don't want them any more, all without leaving the Firefox window you're already working in. Anyone who downloads a lot or frequently will probably enjoy Download Statusbar. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.9.6.5).
One of the Most Important Tools for Development Rated 5 out of 5 stars
If you're going to make any Firefox add-ons, you're going to need this. That's all there is to it.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.3).
Simple and Powerful Rated 5 out of 5 stars
If you're making a website or an Add-on, you're going to need this extension. The detailed selections on what errors pop up, the grouping of errors, the domain blocker, and the search are all regularly used in any web development project. I don't know what add-ons would be like if the developers didn't have this tool at their disposal. I know it's helped my add-ons as much as the DOM Inspector, if not more. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.5).
Pretty important Rated 4 out of 5 stars
This little extension for Adblock Plus is relatively useful if you want to find a transparent IFrame or some other container that's messing with a webpage's layout after you've already removed an ad. It's also pretty good if you can't right click on an object for one reason or another. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.6).
Mandatory Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Adblock Plus should come preinstalled in Firefox. It's that useful. You'll almost never see any ads again, and the ones you do see are only two clicks away from oblivion. The online rulesets and wonderful ad removal technology make online advertisements a thing of the past. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1.1).
Awesome Extension Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I've been using FireFTP for years, and the only problems I've ever had are caused by my own connection speed. I've recommended it to anyone who needs an FTP client. It's simple and fairly quick to understand, but also has wonderfully more complex features such as setting multiple upload connections, resuming errored/cancelled uploads and downloads, multiple accounts with individual root locations, and so much more! This is easily the best FTP client ever written. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.6).
Suggestion Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Excellent app, glad it's finally fixed! Just a suggestion, though... could you get it so we can display multiple items from different sort styles? I'd like to be able to view the total amount made since last payment and amount made today...
Thanks again for updating!
Excellent Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Very useful for checking screen sizes in web development. Also gives you the size of the window, which can be useful for determining the exact minimum size a screen needs to be.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.53).
Useful Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Pretty useful extension. It searches with http://google.co.uk only apparently, which is sort of annoying. Maybe add an option to change the locale to use in a future version? Also, the URL/URI thing doesn't seem to work right...
