Excellent Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Its the best thing in firefox addon..
It was a fun little project :)
Realistically, this addon will probably fade-out from here on, as the recent versions of Firefox have the "Clear on exit" option under Settings -> Privacy, that if enabled, brings back the original "Quit" button !

Firefox for Android Rated 1 out of 5 stars
Unfortunately, this add-on is not quitting in the way one would expect. It only sends you to the launcher it seems. I am baffled as to why there would not be an exit menu option anyway.
I am using QuitNow 1.18.06 with Firefox 33.1 on Android 4.1.1. After using the quit option, Firefox stays in memory as a cached process and does not seem to trigger the history, cache, etc. clearing that can be set in the Firefox settings.
The 1 star rating is specific to the version of QuitNow and Firefox & Android OS. Any similarity to other things that exist or not is purely coincidental... ;)
This is correct behaviour.
As pointed out in the description, Quit-Now was designed as a fast exit tool for FireFox users after Mozilla removed the item from the main menu.
Neither the original Firefox Quit option, nor this Add-on will clear Android Application history from your Launcher.
Recent versions of Firefox have brought back a Main Menu "Quit" option tied to the internal Sanitizer (History, etc). As this gains use, the need for this add-on (QuitNow) will diminish.
This is anticipated, and a good thing. Thank you Mozilla for bringing the integrated functionality back.

Whenever any Addon is essentially used by many users, the same feature may be added as an update by Firefox. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.18.06). This user has a previous review of this add-on.

The quit button disappeared a while back when I updated firefox to version 32. It has yet to reappear, despite my efforts to repeatedly uninstall and reinstall Quitnow. Is this just me, or are we all waiting for a fix for this? This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.18.06).
It's just you :-/
There's no outstanding issues at the moment. There was a bug with Firefox recently (see https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1057685) but that's been fixed.
1) Make sure you have an updated version of Firefox from the Play store.
2) If you change any Android OS Settings, particularly in the Developer Options, make sure that "Don't keep Activities" is *NOT* checked.
3) If you still have an issue, email me at my address located nearby in my profile.
Sorta Works Rated 3 out of 5 stars
Works nicely to shut FF (32) completely on mobile device (Android 4.4.2). However the drop-down Quit button keeps vanishing (often after reboot), and can only be restored by disabling then re-enabling the add-on. Bug?This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.18.06).
Check Android Settings
Firefox has issues with addons and won't work properly, if you have changed your Android Settings -> Developer Options -> Don't keep Activities to be "checked" or true.
Not working Rated 2 out of 5 stars
Doesn't show up in Firefox beta 32.0 on nexus 5. Would request to please fix asap
I love this add on. Even if it doesn't remove app from recent, it clears the pages and all else from memory leaving minimal usage of memory in cache.
Thanks for reminding me!
Addon authors need to update version compatibility information every so often.... I forgot :(
Very Nice but wrong menu position Rated 4 out of 5 stars
This is a very useful add-on that fixes the stupid decision by Mozilla to prevent you from closing your browser.
QuitNow works really well except for just one thing: it does not appear at the bottom of the menu as the last menu item (which it used to do when it was built-in to Firefox).
This means that when you add other add-ons such as UnMHT etc. the Quit menu gets buried in the middle of the menu list (with several menu entries below it) rather than always being the last menu entry at the bottom of the list. This is annoying because it's not located where it should be, and it makes it harder to find the Quit menu.
I hope the developer will move the Quit menu entry down the menu list so that it is the last item, then this add-on will be perfect!
Peut mieux faire Rated 2 out of 5 stars
Pratique pour sortir vite du programme et se déconnecter mais laisse le programme chargé en mémoire ! Ne pourrait-on pas tout fermer ?This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.18.06).
You are incorrect.
Perhaps you believe that leaving the app in your Android history ("recent apps list") is the same as being active in memory. (It is not.)
email if you you wish to learn more.
Doesn't remove from recent apps Rated 2 out of 5 stars
It may terminate firefox, but it doesn't remove it from recent apps so it's still useless to me.

Free things are worth what you pay for them :-)
Yah, I can't do that from inside the browser with an add-on.
Neither does Firefox itself.
You can usually change your Android OS level settings to not keep recent apps if privacy is your concern.
Please update! Rated 1 out of 5 stars
Please update this or any of the quit Firefox buttons to be able to work with Firefox version 30.0 and Android OS 4.4.3! Thanks! Yeah that was an accident... When I go to the install page for your Extension it says it's not available for my platform...?This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.18.06). Please don't spam with multiple reviews
Personally, I only own and provide QuitNow. It works all the way up to version 33.0a1 at the moment, and on *all* Android OS versions.
I don't know what your issue is, but if you'd like to contact me, I provide my email link, located nearby.
Too good Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Very useful. Works great on Galaxy S5 / KitKat 4.4.2. However, since it's right next to the Settings option, I have hit it accidentally and closed FF when I didn't want to. I'd like to see the addition of an optional confirmation pop-up box if that's possible. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.18.05).
Anything's possible ....
But the easiest solution is to use the already-available option in Settings -> Customize -> Tabs and set it to "Always restore" ...
Then when you do an accidental / infrequent close, you can re-open the browser and your tabs will be re-opened as they were.
