Once upon a time I would have given this a 5 star review. Then with the new updates and all it stopped working. At about the same time, headline feeds on my iGoogle gadgets also stopped working. I did not put the two defects together, and kept iGoogle Tab Remover installed, hoping for an update, which never came. Google FINALLY provided a fix on their own, I disabled this extension and lo and behold I got my headlines back. This extension is badly broken now -- and obsolete.
Personas _used to_ work really well on my PC, but once I was forced to upgrade to Windows 7, I can no longer access my favorites at all. It doesn't matter how many times I log on. No access. :-( Me sad. Because I really like this add-on, and have many favorites (and appreciate all you talented people sharing!). It still works really well on my Mac, and I particularly like the "random" favorite change every so often. Please make it work for Windows 7. Please. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.6.1). This user has 2 previous reviews of this add-on.
As someone who now works off of four e-mail addresses, I find this extension not only useful, but virtually necessary. I'm grateful someone finally decided to design it!
The author of the extension is quick to communicate and promptly fixed a minor bug for mac user's when informed about it.
While john2010's suggestions are intriguing, I would find that setting up the rules for such an extension would take too long, whereas this extension allows me just the right amount of hesitation and choice. Moreover, this extension does exactly what it says it does. That's worthy of five stars.
Doesn't work. :-( Oh well, it was a good idea...This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1).
Doesn't growl at all.

Thank you! At last I can read .pdf "inline" and can even search through them -- something "Firefox PDF PlugIn for Mac" does not do, and apparently never will. So a happy convert here. My only wish would be able to access this addon in one click instead of two. I'd like the option for this addon to be the default action for .pdf links. For instance, I cannot open any bookmarks that are .pdfs with this addon. Otherwise, long overdue functionality for Firefox/Mac users!! Thank You!This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.2.1).
I miss having this extension -- it used to work very well and was nice to have. Now that the extension uses tooltips, the alerts do not go away no matter what and are way too annoying. I can't use the old version because I also use auto-updater. Since auto-updater is much more useful, I've regrettedly had to disable Link Alert. I keep hoping that it will get fixed, but alas...This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.8.2.2).
Really cool way to dress up FF. I really like this add-on now that we are able to choose favorites. The ability to change personas randomly is cool! Nice job. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.3.1). This user has other reviews of this add-on.
This used to be a great little extension, but the "tooltip" icons that won't go away even when FF is in the background are really annoying, and seriously get in the way of other work. Downgrading to an earlier version only works if you're willing to shut off auto-updater for all other extensions... Submitting a version 0.8.2.2 isn't helpful for the same reason. Auto-updater apparently goes by version number rather than by date. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.8.2.2).
It's a very nice concept, but unless you design your own or only have one or two personas that you are interested in "wearing", then this extension fails to deliver on concepts one and two. Either "recently selected" needs to be list more than 4 personas, or a "favorites" tab should be created (preferred). Otherwise, why bother to browse through all these delicious creations, if we can only choose 4 to "wear", with no way to remember any more than 4 at any one time, or even a way to actively choose those 4?
Also, the "how to" video should be labeled as "advertisement" -- there is nothing "how to" in it!
Nice idea, but it doesn't seem to work. Crashes or freezes FF several times in just one session and formerly highlighted sentences do not show up as highlighted upon later visits, despite the term "indelible". And FF freezes when W-M is then 'turned on' in hopes of restoring the highlights. Unusable at this point. Perhaps this add-on is not Mac-friendly?
Drag-and-drop is a rather awkward and slow method of highlighting.
The side bar gets full very quickly with noting every time a single word gets highlighted, I'm not sure what good it does to have every highlight from every page listed in the sidebar. I would prefer to just see the highlights themselves, and have something show in the sidebar only if I make a notation to it. Otherwise this method seems rather unwieldly.
To stop double notifications, disable the extension, restart Thunderbird; enable the extension, restart Thunderbird. Apparently you need to disable/enable the extension once post installation. But it does reduce the growl notifications to only one per message when you do so. I do like the basic functionality of the extension, but it is a shame that the developers don't seem to have enough interest in the extension to fix that basic problem, or to address some of the suggestions to improve it.
This is the best looking theme, out there. However, the 3.0 update has funky looking back-forward buttons. They mess up the otherwise clean, svelte look of iFox. Can you bring back the old ones? This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.0.2).
Recently someone broke in to my house and stole my purse. I've been thinking how lucky I was that he didn't get my laptop -- and working on ways to make sure vital info is at least extremely hard to access, without logging out or shutting down every single time I get up from the computer. This is a very useful step in that direction! So far it appears to be working just as advertised. Thank you! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.2.5).
