WikiLook

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

absolutely what i've been looking for! A++.
for the longest time i was looking for a dictionary add-on that would display the result IN A LITTLE POP-UP right there- not in a new tab or in the current one (which is useless)- just a quick return of the definition, in a simple popup, so as not to force me to leave the page i am on.

WikiLook is so incredibly useful- i wish i'd found it sooner. I'm always getting distracted when I come upon some word or name or subject that I want to look up while in the middle of reading or browsing another site- I end up lost- & like 50 sites away from where i started. It's perfect bc aside from definitions, a la Wiktionary, the power of Wikipedia enables one to look up everything about anything- movie titles, names of actors, artists, writers...etc, music, books, various terms or ideas regarding any topic you can think of- math, history, science...and so on. But again- the single most useful feature is that you can obtain ALL of this information WITHOUT LEAVING YOUR PAGE- so great.

the ONLY thing missing for me is a thesaurus. Oh my god, you have no idea- i would LOVE to have a thesaurus tool that also displays the results in a pop-up. I wonder why Wikipedia hasn't their own version of a thesaurus yet- like, Wikithaurus or something(?) :P

*Anyway- thanks a bunch for this!! Definitely a favorite <3

Metro

superawesome! absolutely LOVE this- it's definitely my new favorite theme- classic, elegant, simple & clean but with a little dash of style- it's perfect- and I am soooo happy to see the hot pink- i love pink, but it's not easy to incorporate piink into a theme WITHOUT making it too foo-fooey or all prettyprettyprincess/bubbley-plushy-candy-confection-ish (phew)- which is just a ridiculous & distracting look for a theme ui, no?

So I thank you- congrats for pulling off pink the right way, even if borrowed from Microsoft- bc regardless, you gave pink its due props by letting the theme wear her, for a look that is hot & sexy but clean & professional.

Oh, and although i quite obviously adore pink, I very much appreciate & love the endless color customizations available through the metrobuddy addon- i get sick of things very quickly- always needing to switch it up, so being able to freshen up the theme w/ an all new color palette is A+, much appreciated >w<

Quick Dictionary Lookup from BeeDictionary.com

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

thesaurus would be awesome- you have no ideeea how useful that would be- i have been looking for a dictionary/thesaurus tool like this for some time- something that quickly pops up a mini-window with definitions/synonyms (thesaurus)- instead i've only found tools that, upon right-click/shift-click/whatever, open up definitions/synonyms in a new tab or new browser window! To me that is just not useful- especially for a reference tool & especially, especially when you just want to quickly look up the definition of a word while reading an article for instance- by the time the tab or window loads i've about half-way lost interest most of the time & continued reading ;) So thank you for this- it's perfect & exactly what i been wanting- now if only we can get a thesaurus goin too >w

COMMUNITY BAR

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

This looks really awesome- if you (or any reviewers) could just expand a little more about it for me:

-I am especially curious whether or not we can customize exactly which buttons appear on the toolbar? I only have a need for a handful of them- but i don't want to waste space by having to keep buttons that I'll never use (such as 'games', 'RadioStation', TVStation, Chat...etc on there.

-Also- what happens when we click one of the buttons, or select something from the drop-down menu? Does it load in a new window, new tab, etc? For example, with the Dictionary (which i would find extremely useful)- in order to look up a definition is there a mini popup window (which would be awesome) or does it simply open another browser window or tab? And also, in preview images 2 & 3 (showing EBuddy Chat & Weather, respectively)- it looks as though a mini-window opens up, as opposed to just opening another tab or browser window? That would certainly be useful.

I just wanted a little bit more info first- i usually would just install it & try it out myself, but not only has Mozilla not reviewed it, but i am also very hesitant to install any type of toolbar that has games & such on it- it just always reminds me of that spyware smiley face/cursor toolbar! Thanks for your time!

Boox

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I have come to really depend & rely on Boox & its many features & bookmark enhancements- and actually, Boox was one of the very first add-ons i ever installed! It is so useful & integrates so wonderfully within Firefox that i often forget when using it that the features I am accessing are not actually native to Firefox but are, instead, available because of an add-on.
Scary though to be so reliant on an add-on, as that REALLY means you are relying on the author to have continued interest in the extension & in updating it. I really hope that you continue to update Boox, as it is so useful, and, like i said, blends so smoothly within Firefox you'd swear it was actually part of the browser & not actually an add-on.

Thank you so much for your time & effort put into developing & updating Boox- I hope you continue to do so! I just installed the new beta for 3.6 & await anxiously for a stable release- thanks again! (>w

Personal Menu (Personal Firefox Button)

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Really just a great add-on- and with many features not initially apparent- you have to "play around" with it a little to realize all of the options for customization.

A TIP:
Rather than use Personal Menu as a way to compress the entire menu bar into a single menu, I actually did something different- I used the Tiny Menu add-on to consolidate the menu bar into a single menu & then used Personal Menu as, just that- a personal menu- a sort of "Quick-Access Menu" displaying my top, most-used, items (such as "Restart", "Update", "Page Source", "About:Config"...etc) & placed it next to the AwesomeBar for quick, easy access.

***However, it is now possible to use multiple instances of Personal Menu- so I no longer have the need now for the additional "Tiny Menu" extension- I can just have 2 instances of Personal Menu (one as a consolidated menu bar, & the other as my Quick-Access Menu as described above) in order to achieve the same thing- A++ for that :P

Personas Plus

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

uum- LOVED Personas- brilliant- a quick, simple way to switch up look of my browser without a restart--> Loved them EVEN MORE with Strata40 theme- Strata40 is seemingly just about made for Personas- it meshes beautifully with them, as if the Persona had just been poured over, or melted onto, it. And with Strata40's neutral palette & transparent icons/buttons, matching is simply not an issue....but OHHH...oh NO you di'int- now i am stuck using Personas with ONLY the....the Default(?!) theme....that would be the ugly green back/forward buttons theme? I have had to install so many Userstyles just so i can alter the defart theme enough to stand it, so that i can continue to use Personas...although i ended up switching back to Strata40 anyway. This ba-LOWS ya know?

Fopera - Opera 10 on Firefox

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

love this theme- its another great addition to the theme gallery- its a quality theme that is sleek, clean, simple & stylish- the most important elements of any theme that is of high standards. Nice work on this!
..........Suggestion:..........
As a reviewer mentioned regarding color options, i nice way to implement this, as well as giving the user more room for customization, is to maybe think about a "FoperaBuddy" extension along the lines of the StrataBuddy or other such theme-enhancement extensions. That would be A+

please update for 3.6 :)
this is the only of my fav add-ons left that hasn't yet updated for 3.6. thank you for your work on this !

Cleeki - Instant Search

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Could this be used in essentially the same way as the I.E "Define With..." accelerators, in which I could highlight a word on the page & then choose a dictionary- or, even better, thesaurus- channel (ie accelerator) to then see the definitions in the preview window without having to leave the page at all for a dif. tab or window? For ex: the "Search w/ Bing/Google" accelerators which preview word Bing/Google definitions within the little pop-up.

Because that is really the point of the accelerators- to acquire small bits of info- definitions, conversions, maps, etc- about selected text, without having to leave your page- you can even perform entire searches within the little pop-up without ever going to new tab- which is my suggestion to make this more useful:

It would be nice to be able to continue clicking links within the little pop-up without it closing & sending you to a new page/tab/window- (a la I.E Accelerators) and if/when you want to leave it, there is a link at the bottom that you can click to "Open in a New Tab".
Otherwise, you're really just avoiding the inevitable- you can either just open a new tab & do a search, or do a search with Cleeki, preview results in small pop-up, only to open a new tab anyway once you click the results(?)

New Tab JumpStart

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This is great- Google Toolbar for Internet Explorer has the same feature & I love it- & for the longest time I was unable to find anything similar for Firefox until the "New Tab King" add-on was released. However, I recently just had to uninstall NTK completely- it had become really unstable & full of bugs, causing problems for me with not only my other add-ons, but within Firefox itself as well. The only reason I kept it installed for as long as I did was bc I wasn't aware of any other New Tab Page add-ons.
I'm so glad for this one- I love how closely it resembles Google's New Tab page, adding just enough function to what would otherwise be just a boring tab- but without bogging it down in an attempt to turn into something else entirely- it's simply a new tab- I don't need to have my new tab jam-packed with so many completely unnecessary bells & whistles, that it is no longer able to quickly & efficiently perform it's primary function- which is, first & foremost, that of opening a new tab- Thank you for getting this!

*My only complaint is really just superficial- the "Jam-packed" logo is not aesthetically pleasing & is actually a bit distracting- it's just bugging me. A simpler, sleeker logo would make a huge difference in improving the overall presentation of everything, by creating visual unity for a look that's more polished.

Research Word

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

could you expand a little more- where do the results appear? In a new tab/window? I have been looking desperately for the longest time for an extension- similar to that of the "define with..." accelerators found in Internet Explorer- where I can highlight a word & get the definition/thesaurus entry right there in a mini pop-up window- for example, the "Define with Bing" accelerator in I.E enables me to highlight a word I want defined, which, in turn, activates the little accelerator button- I click the accelerator button- context menu pops up listing accelerators (such as "Preview/Launch Link", "Conversion",,,etc), I highlight "Define w/ Bing", a little window pops up with definitions. it's great- but the closest I have come to that for Firefox are add-ons that display results in the sidebar. . .

Bing vs. Google

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

what the hell- every time i click "download now" i get an error that reads "this add-on is not supported by Firefox & therefore cannot be installed" - but why is everyone else (apparently 28,041 of them) allowed to install it??

myFireFox & Vista-aero Modifier

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

OK, NM- the "Tab Bar Left" ("Favorites Center") just appeared after i closed my sidebar - I have "All In One Sidebar" [AIOS] installed, with the sidebar opening on the right side- not sure if that matters- but anyway, when the sidebar was open "Tab Bar Left" buttons weren't there- as soon as I closed my sidebar, however, the "Favorites Center" appeared- which, by the way, I effing love- i had no idea that it would be identical to the IE8 Fav. Center (duh, haha) - I just thought they would be buttons or whatever- i was so surprised when i clicked it and was presented with the IE Fav Center- awesome- i love it ! But do you realize now how hard it will be to switch to a different theme?! Even if im dying for a different look, i wont be able to leave ...

*and i gave you 5 stars even before discovering the Favorites Center :P

myFireFox & Vista-aero Modifier

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

not only do i love the theme- but i more than ever appreciate your additional modifier add-on. I love to be able to customize things myself- even if only a few extra options that allow me to choose what i like, i'm happy. If you could expand this add-on, adding even options, then i would love you forever! Particularly in terms of the aesthetic, or visual, elements.

I only seem to be having an issue with the "Stop" & "Restart" buttons being on the right side of the URL bar- even when i de-select the option to have them there, they stay. I also tried to move them back over to the left manually (by "Customize" toolbar), but they are actually attached to the URL bar! In other words, they are stuck there- literally- stuck to the right side of the address bar. You can't move just one of them- they all move together.

Also- this really isn't a big deal for me, but i just wanted to let you know that I dont see the "Tab Bar Left" & "Tab Bar" buttons that i selected- but the "Tab Bar Right" buttons, however, are there.

SoCool

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

i have SoCool Calx installed (and i love love it- one of my favorite themes)- im just wondering what the difference is between the Calx version & this one? i can't seem to figure it out bylooking at the preview images of this version (am i an idiot?! haha)- so anyway, i just don't know whether or not to install this version of SoCool or not...please let me know- Thanks!
