Heavy CPU load since FF18 Rated 3 out of 5 stars
First I wanna say, I've loved this utility. But since Firefox 18 this addon produces more CPU load the more tabs are opened.
Usually I've opened many tabs, and so this addon helped me to handle them well. And lets be honest: the main job of this addon is to work properly in an enviroment where many tabs are opened. For just a few tabs nobody really needs such a great plugin.
But unfortunately Tab Utilities doesn't seem to be Firefox friendly anymore. 300 tabs opened produce an average CPU load of 1% during idle without Tab Utilities. With Tab Utilities activated the averge idle CPU load is at about 7-8% (NoScript is the only further addon). And when Firefox is workig, the CPU load goes up to using one full core (i5). Thats not normal.
It's a pity, but for the moment I must deactivate this addon due to CPU problems with FF18+ (and yes, FF19 and FF20 too).
Hope you'll be able to fix that issue.
Many thanks in advance.
Where is a comment from the developer? Rated 3 out of 5 stars
I wonder why there comes no comment from the developer. It seems more than clear that this great addon has some serious bugs. But not a single word from the author.
And further there is still a great label "EMPFOHLEN (recommended)" by Mozilla put on the discription. How can Mozilla recommend an addon that sucks down their flagship to unusability? There's something going wrong in Pennsylvania... ^^
Two stars down from formerly 5 stars cause of poor maintenance.
Great Tool... Rated 5 out of 5 stars
...but last update causes laggings in FireFox.
Really annoying when there are a lot of tabs opened, especially on startup. Some sites come very slow, and also working in FireFox itself (meubars, ...) is slower than before.
Please fix, cause this is a really GREAT TOOL!!!
