Useful Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Very useful, great addon. But could Mr Hiroya Matsuba take some development ideas into consideration, please?
Sometimes I have to send an email to many recipients who do not have to see each others email addresses. (It is not a spam. E.g. I have to inform residents of a house about sg, and their emails are in email lists) Of course I should use bcc, but rarely I forget it, and in these cases it is extremely embarrassing. Your addon helps me to think, but perhaps there would be some easy development options?
E.g.: possibility of input some external emails (not domain) / confirmation window only in case of these external emails / confirmation only in case of specific email adresses (list of) / managing exceptions somehow / confirmation if a specific email stands in recipients or cc, instead of bcc? / confirmation or reminder BEFORE sending like "are you sure these recipients are not bcc; have you put a delivery notification; etc?
This would partially or totally solve problems for those, who try to use 'send later' addon. Because this tiny 'later' might be enough to "hide" a recipient or something similar. (other addons do not solve by bcc problem...)
Thank you very much, I hope I can find the perfect solution once:)
Valuable Helper Rated 5 out of 5 stars
When internal addresses are used more often than external ones, this addon really simplifies addressing. Wrong recipients are avoided, which adds the advertised security.
My only remark is, that I use two-letter acronyms for recipients, which means I need autocompletion starting with just two letters typed in. Since the addon code defines 5 letters as requirement, I have to manually edit the autocomplete.js and fix that for me. An option defining that limit would be desirable.
[Update] Fantastic Add-on, Now Without the Caveat Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This addon is a great tool for people who are quick to send out emails and not always double check that they included the right recipients. It has been a great addition to my thunderbird productivity, and I know there are several features of it that I don't even use - highly recommend it!This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.7).
Fantastic Extension, with One Caveat Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This is a great addon for anyone who forgets to double-check (or should be double-checking) who and what they're sending in their emails. This extension worked flawlessly until the release of Thunderbird 45 (as of Secure Addressing v1.6) - the extension now prevents messages from being sent. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.6).
Excellent - until Thunderbird 45 arrived! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This was a really great add-on which I used all the time - until I updated to Thunderbird 45. I had to disable to allow messages to send. A great pity! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.6).
Help for ThunderBird 45.0.2 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

But, it not work with the last version of ThunderBird...
Can the author correct that ?
Does not work with thunderbird 45.0 Rated 5 out of 5 stars
The addon is great and useful, always owrked OK.
BUT not anymore
I upgraded to TB 45.0 and stopped to work, tried ot uninstall and reinstall and got same behaviour, it pops up, let check, then does not go to the spell check nor to the send email step...
Will it be fixed? Are there any alternatives to this addon in case?
I can confirm what another poster has said . . Rated 1 out of 5 stars
. . namely, this addOn does not work at all on Thunderbird 45. Oh no!This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.6).
Great app, but doesn't work on 45.0 Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This app seems to prevent all email sending on Thunderbird 45.0This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.6).

This addOn discharges its core functionality well, and it has some good extra features. However, if used with the SendLater addition, one can get various Thunderbird prompts twice. Still, this AddOn can work as something of a replacement for SendLater. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.6).
Feature request: Additional check to avoid using S/MIME and Enigmail concurrently Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Thanks for your tool -- it runs fine with me.
As I have partners I send S/MIME encrypted emails, and others I send PGP encrypted emails, I'd like to get another check in your add-on, which warns me, if e.g. S/MIME signature and PGP encryption are both active. This causes TB to send it only S/MIME signed as Enigmail and S/MIME are conflicting.
Best regards and thanks in advance
Awesome Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I really like this plugin. The attachment feature is great, and the ability to see recipients that I have never emailed in red is a life saver. The ability to see the Title, Department and Company of recipients is super cool as well. I have nothing negative to say basically. There is a similar add-in for Outlook called "SafeSend" but Secure Addressing simply has more useful features I think. Go and download this add-in now! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.6).

Thanks for making this awesome add-on available. LDAP lookup is particularly great for corporate use like what I do.
A problem I'm experiencing is that the "check addresses" dialog comes up with incorrect address and name if an address contained comma like "Brown, Charlie <firstname.lastname@example.org>". The address goes "Brown" and the name goes blank in this case.

A very good add-on. It would be even better, if it could pop up the confirmation message when the mail is sent later or when send unsent messages. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.5).
Best plugin ever. Can't wait for Thunderbird 31 compatibility. Rated 5 out of 5 stars
As far as I'm concerned, this is the best plugin ever released for any email client. I love it. I need it.
Sadly, version 1.4 is not compatible with the new and improved Thunderbird 31 messaging interface.
I will downgrade my Thunderbird until this is (hopefully!) fixed.
Hiroya - if you're out there, I need you!
Secure Addressing Rated 3 out of 5 stars
How do you stop the add-on from inquiring whether you want to always "bcc" one's backup email system that can be automatically configured in Thunderbird. For example, I automatically "bcc" a secondary gmail account to generate a backup of all outgoing emails. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.2).
