Found an alternative! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Was using this extension for years, but seems like it won't be updated for Firefox 57. Thankfully, there's a newer one which seems to do the trick: "Rotate and Zoom Image"

Firefox 57 Rated 4 out of 5 stars

For many years Image Zoom was one of my favorite addons. Even if it worked only partially, recently. As the last entry on the project homepage dates from 2013, there is no hope for an upgrade to WebExtensions & FF 57 Quantum. So it seems to be the time to say goodbye - sadly!
UPDATE: I have found a nice addon to replace "Image Zoom": it is called "Zoom Image".

It zooms, but won't let go Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Just upgraded to the latest Waterfox, and image zoom won't let go after right clicking and zooming a photo. Scrolling just makes the picture larger and smaller. It's been great for years! Can't someone work on it?!

No right-click menus anymore...

it no Longer works in FB Rated 2 out of 5 stars

It does NOT work in FaceBook any more, since some time. In some pages/sites works ok, but in some others it doesn't.

It doesn't work anymore Rated 2 out of 5 stars

It doesn't work anymore since Firefox v53 (and it used to have some issues before too). I even tried it updating to Firefox v54.0b12 and then removing and reinstalling Image Zoom again but it doesn't work at all.

here https://addons.mozilla.org/fr/firefox/addon/image-zoom-ugly-attempt/?src=api you'll find "Image Zoom (ugly fixes)".

but this will not last a long time.

the only one i've found is https://addons.mozilla.org/fr/firefox/addon/zoom-page/ but it is not as efficient as image zoom :(

Lacks Multiple Image Scrolling For Tumblr Archives Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Lacks multiple images scrolling for Tumblr archives, as some images in archives have multiple photos attached to a single image.
See Hover Zoom + for example.

Otherwise, your program is the best out there.

Please fix this issue.

Right click bug Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I really like this addon, but I have recently noticed a bug with the images.

When right clicking one it adds the size of it in the element.styles, thus breaking the responsiveness of websites.

This also makes it impossible to zoom in/out if only the an image is opened (with left click - since the image is bigger than the screen.)

Doesn't work correctly after 49 Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Problem: you can still hold right-button and then use the scroll too zoom. But after that, when you release right button, it will show context menu which didn't happen in 48 or earlier version. And after that, your scroll are still zooming the image (despite you've released right-button).

Please fix, thanks.

Great addon but needs an update Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Image zoom is a great addon and extremely useful for resizing pictures easily in web pages.

I urge the developer to update it to remove the bug that crops the image when zooming reported by another review, and also to ensure compatibility with the E10S Firefox system that is due to be released shortly.

Image Top CROPPED !?! Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Since FF 46, zooming ends with top of image being cropped out of view, while scroll bar shows page is maxed-out in up position. Problem persists whether from mouse scroll or choosing zoom value from context menu, also from either image being viewed alone or from inside a web page. Uninstalling / reinstalling changes nothing. Quick fix Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Thanks for the info. Indeed, installing it again (even without uninstalling first) fixed the addon - it's working again.
