My Reviews

imagetwist

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is so good I'm retiring my "Flip or Rotate Image" extension (and pointing people that find it to here), which used the CSS transform method you cleverly avoided, and doesn't have the brilliant EXIF detection of yours.
If you added a transition/animation of the rotation and made the menu show up in Private Browsing windows I'd be completely done :)

Toggle Mixed Active Content

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Definitely useful!
I'd suggest also dynamically setting widget.tooltip to say whether mixed active content is allowed when hovering the pointer on the icon, for those that forget what the colours mean.

Movie Critiques

Remarkably handy Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I use this way more than I should.

Mozilla Labs: Prospector - about:trackers

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

A very nice lightweight replacement of Ghostery, and more powerful by allowing me to Ctrl F search the list in a normal tab.

Saved Password Editor

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Excellent! This extension is much needed for Mobile Firefox since it's always harder to manually enter passwords on the phone. Are you planning to do a mobile version? (hopefully that still works in the Maemo build of Firefox which Mozilla abandoned at version 6)

Mozilla Labs App Runtime

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Love this, but not because of the REALLY long name you chose, which made it difficult to install on Windows XP, related to bug 636268.
To get it to install I had to create a new profile located in C:\ to avoid the "The add-on from addons.mozilla.org could not be installed because it does not match the add-on Firefox expected" error (which wasn't informative), and after saving the .xpi locally and trying to install that way getting "Open Web Apps for Firefox could not be installed because Firefox cannot modify the needed file" found the above WONTFIXed bug about restartless extensions unpacking process exceeding the max path length possible in XP. Posting this to let other users know the workaround.

Hard blockers counter

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It seems to be intentionally making the addons bar visible and moving itself back there after I move the button to the tabs bar and untick the addons bar :(
Would the code at http://mike.kaply.com/2011/01/25/the-firefox-4-add-on-bar-for-developers/ prevent that?
This is a great addon to point people to that keep pestering us on IRC about "when will Firefox 4 come out?"

iViewFox

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

This has a lot of potential, and hopefully all the drawbacks I mention here will be addressed by the time of release.
I use the RSS feed for iView shows which clicking show links without this extension takes me directly to the right series with the right episode selected. With this extension I just get a "main view" every time regardless of the specific URL to a show, and clicking on any series always selects the first episode, not the latest.
The size of the main containers and the ones for each show are fixed and larger than my viewport, making the scrollbars inaccessible. Please use smarter code to determine the viewport size including knowing the Firefox sidebar is open. I also can only see a "download" option, not a "watch" option, so I need to disable this extension just to use iView normally.
Chosen folders for saving shows to are not remembered. I'm sure there is a way in extensions to open the save dialog at the last directory used for saving.
Downloaded shows don't show up in Firefox's Tools -> Downloads window.
The "Options" button for this extension in the Tools -> Addons dialog is disabled, when the ability to customise how it behaves would have alleviated some of the pain using this.
I look forward to giving a five star review when these issues go away.

Memory Profiler

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Superb! I've already put this into firebot's "memory" factoid on IRC.
Will you be porting this to Fennec?

TooManyTabs - Saves Your Memory

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I'd love it if you could incorporate either an "idle" button or auto-detect when the browser is minimised and move CPU intensive tabs into TMT cache to free up CPU for gamers that need it for smooth gameplay in those apps. Perhaps for detecting such tabs you could use the code from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/9954 with the method described in a review of it:
"Once XUL Profiler presents the callgraph page, I click to "See" the "Source" of the bar with the greatest "Time" usage. A new window pops up with the source, and the offending URL is right at the top in the title bar. I find that URL website amongst the tabs I have open and close down the tab. When my Task Manager shows that my CPU usage has dropped, then I know I have freed up my system and killed the culprit."

Open in Browser

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I've found this immensely useful for so many misconfigured servers. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it has yet to add an option for gzipped files that are not served with the
Content-Encoding: gzip header. I have yet to find any free web host for instance that properly serves .svgz files, like at http://www.archive.org/download/Periodic_Spiral_of_Elements/elementspiral.svgz which firefox could view natively if this extension detected or gave an option to set gzip as the content encoding.

PageInfo

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I give it 4 out of 5 for being very useful, especially on "all flash" sites that only give you the flash right-click menu.
The 1 point off is for not showing the extra sections added to the normal page info dialog by extensions such as Link and FormInfo - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6939 and View Dependencies https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2214 and Headers https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3829
