Excellent and much-needed tool; I highly recommend it. My one gripe is that I haven't figured out how to use the rich text feature; some explanation on the CoLT Custom Formats page would be nice.
Two suggestions to make it more useful:
1. provide the option of tagging a particular format as being intended for Link Context, Page Context, or both; and have that format only show up in the appropriate context menu.
2. Conditional formatting. Give me the ability to delimit a portion of the format so that it only shows up if a particular variable isn't empty. For example:
%T <%U>%[I (%I) ]%
Everything appearing within %[I ... ]% would only get used if %I has a value; so if the link has a tooltip, that gets copied at the end in parentheses; otherwise, the format stops at the closing angle-bracket.
I'd like a configuration option that lets me decide when the tab previews should be triggered: in particular, I want to be able to turn off the "show the preview when a new tab loads" feature. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1.7). Whenever I use this product to switch to a different tab group, the compact menu loses its default menu items. This user has 2 previous reviews of this add-on.
Feature request: I'd like an option that causes AppTabs to be included in each of the Group submenus instead of or in addition to being listed alongside the tab groups. This user has other reviews of this add-on.
This looks to be exactly what I want for handling Tab Groups; but I can't use it because it's not compatible with the most recent version of FF. (EDIT: that was a prompt response; thank you!)
Very nice utility. The "Open in New Group" context menu item strikes me as redundant, as you can choose "New Group" from the list of options on the "Open in Group" submenu; but that's a minor concern that's easily rectified by a decent context menu editor plugin. And other than that, I have no complaints.
This is going to make tab groups much more useful to me.
My one gripe about this product is that I can't move the Interclue toolbar item: I don't want it on the Add-on Bar at all, but I can't move it when I'm in Customize Toolbar mode.
Overall, I like it; however, I wish that it would only bring up the preview when I hover the mouse over a given bar; as things stand now, it also provides the preview whenever a new tab is opened even when I'm not yet ready to preview the new tab. And sometimes the preview obstructs something else that I'm in the middle of doing. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1.5).
Feature request: please allow the tooltip previews to be my choice of text, image, or both, on a feed-by-feed basis. I have some feeds that are online comics, and the image is all-important while the text is meaningless. Also, some parsing of the text contents in the preview (e.g., bold, italics, etc.) would be appreciated. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.4.2.0).
I've only encountered two problems: first, I'd rather the names show up as tooltips; and second, when I have Tab Mix Plus' "Tabs in Titlebar" option and Roomy Bookmarks Toolbar's "Place the Bookmarks Bar on Top" both selected, the result is that the Bookmarks Bar ends up in the titlebar, with the titlebar buttons superimposed on the bookmarks. If you could set it up so that putting the bookmarks on top means putting the bookmarks immediately above the location bar instead of all the way at the top (so that TabMixPlus can keep the tab bar up top and potentially in the titlebar), I would very much appreciate it.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.3.3).
Very useful tool; but it would be better if I could work with submenus.
Could you please provide more comprehensive documentation for the scripting? For example, it would be nice to see how each of the standard choices would be done as scripts. (I'd like to do a popup that lets me choose between Page Info and Page Source.)This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.6.16). This user has a previous review of this add-on.
I like what you've provided; but I'd like you to provide more.
• Rocker Gestures: give me double-click options. I'd like to use single-clicks to navigate to previous or next pages, and I'd like to use double-clicks to pull up the page histories.
• Mouse Gestures: let me decide which mouse button is needed for a given gesture on a per-gesture basis.
Quite good, for a beta. glitches I found: when I mark a thumbnail for deletion or pinning, I need to reload the page for the change to take effect. Also, the usual Context Menu is disabled. Finally, a feature request: I don't need the search box; please include an option that lets me remove it.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.5a5.4.3).
This is a show-stopper for me: I make extensive use of Tab Mix Plus, and will not be disabling it just to get this Add-On to work. That said, I would dearly love to have your add-on's functionality; please find out where the conflict lies and resolve it.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.7.1).
Very nice. I also appreciated the ability to customize the Firefox button to show only the icon, freeing up additional screen real estate (I use the "Tabs in Titlebar" option). My one (very minor) quibble is that my Tabs didn't take advantage of the additional space right away; I had to toggle the Tabs in Titlebar option off and then on again to get them to adjust to the Firefox button's new width. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1).
