Better than the rest Rated 4 out of 5 stars
However, when switched off the text boxes (in this review, for instance) remain black, and refreshing the page doesn't have any effect.
...and the 'bulb icon' is where? Rated 1 out of 5 stars
Better than most Rated 4 out of 5 stars
At least it hasn't got ghastly red and green text/ links. I'd rather text boxes were dark grey and the night-mode didn't change the appearance of toolbar/menu bar, as I've got NASA Nightlaunch theme which is already dark.
Erratic Rated 3 out of 5 stars
In many videos the download button simply isn't there.
Idiot resolutions Rated 1 out of 5 stars
It NEVER lists 480p when vids have a max of 480p
It NEVER lists 720p in spite of vids being HD
It ALWAYS lists 1080p even when the vid is poor quality 360p
All you get is 240, 360, 1080
Not good enough Rated 1 out of 5 stars
No 1080p - 720p Max.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.4.1). This user has a previous review of this add-on.
Flashblock is dead. Love live FlashStopper! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
No autoplay on Youtube, which means no throwing megabytes down the drain. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.4.4).
Needs updating Rated 1 out of 5 stars
No longer works on Youtube. Even though it prevents the video from showing, it's still running - and gobbling up data.
As add-on, perfect. As US bias dictionary, not so good Rated 2 out of 5 stars
I’m sure non-American’s want American bias in their dictionary: it's here in Dictionary.com - all oriented to US spelling, place names, and history.
Three definitions of ‘legion’, one of them was “American Legion”. Being British I couldn’t give tuppence for this particular definition.
Extremely good. Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Using it for a couple of weeks - no memory hog, always responsive, and the most effective blocker I've used. And unlike other blockers it doesn't break sites/pages.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.9.16).
Good and bad Rated 3 out of 5 stars
Great for main computer, indispensable. But for my 15" 1280x800 laptop completely useless, as the bottom half of the Options panel is cut off making it impossible to save any options... and I have to close Options via Task Manager because the top half is cut off as well. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.8.1.12).
Rated 1 out of 5 stars
Doesn't remove what's on TOP of the overlay. If the sign-in or whatever can't be removed then neither can the overlay.
Not good enough Rated 1 out of 5 stars
Too many times 'translate this page' ends up with a blank page. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (220.127.116.11.1.1-signed). This user has 2 previous reviews of this add-on.
Impossible Rated 1 out of 5 stars
So many sites - 'connection was interrupted'
Maybe just a Bold option? Rated 3 out of 5 stars
This add-on displays both highlighted colour and Bold text. Using Google Search is fine, because when i delete all the colours the default or white highlight doesn't show up - any other non-white page and the highlight is displayed as white. I'd just like a Bold option.
And it's not very smart, is it? Search engine: words in inverted commas are highlighted every time, but random keywords like transitions buttock plump (try it!) without inverted commas are not highlighted. And it highlights totally random words after I've entered a comment or post in a forum or social media (another option to enable highlighting in search results only would sort this).
Total memory usage option? Rated 3 out of 5 stars
I'd like to see memory usage across all tabs.
And in the 'Memory' tab in Tab Data - the list is according to tab order, not memory usage size,
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Just wish there was a Total Amount counter for all tabs.
Dramatically reduces cache Rated 5 out of 5 stars
All those other cache clearing add-ons at best have a negligible effect - this considerably reduces cache immediately.
It's especially helpful if a window with many tabs is always open. I use Google Books as reference, which consumes a huge amount of memory (over 1.6GB). When my referencing is finished for the day I hit Clear Caches and around 45% of memory is reclaimed - I can then slum it on the web with a smooth-functioning browser.
Tools > Clear Caches
Curious ommision Rated 2 out of 5 stars
I have a window always open with about 25 tabs for reference (Google Books... and they consume a lot of memory). 'Suspend all other tabs'... Great! Quickly and easily done. But why the hell is there no 'Resume all other tabs'? I'm not going to mess about 'resuming' each tab every time I want access the tabs in that particular window.
Does absolutely nothing. Rated 1 out of 5 stars
