Used to work great--now all I get when I search is

These aren't the movies you're looking for.

If I could keep only one of all my Firefox add-ons, this would be it. This extension has done more to improve my enjoyment of the web than anything else I've ever found. Every now and then, I hear someone complaining about some annoying ad they've seen on some website, and I think, oh, that's right! Some people do see ads there! How sad for them. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (220.127.116.11-signed).
kind of a dud Rated 1 out of 5 stars
"not great for non-programmers" is an understatement! Rated 1 out of 5 stars
I'm no programmer, but I would consider myself a a moderately adept computer-user. I've got Firefox pretty well tweaked with extension that make it do all the tricks I like--but this one has me totally stumped. I have wrestled with it for over an hour before quitting and un-installing it in total frustration. I have read all the help files, searched the discussion forum, tried to use the practice form, installed Firebug, and tried through trial and error to create new rules based on the existing ones that came with the extension. Nothing works, or makes the instructions any less opaque to me. It looks like a nice add-on, if you have the level of programming experience to use it--but if you're an average (or even beyond) user, good luck.
Would it be so hard to create a few more pre-installed rules ("first name", "last name", "cell phone", etc.), or to at least provide a list of additional samples somewhere in the help files, rather than making users learn an unfamiliar code to program their own?
Goofy, fun and functional Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I'm still grinning over some of the oddball icons. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.9).
