My Reviews

Page size checker

Does not work Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Switch between tabs and the count display number doesn't change, so I tried reloading a web page and the numbers counted up and then reset half way through loading and started counting again from zero, ending up at a few hundred bytes.

Also no language option.

And the description above is gobbledegook.

Loading Amazon.co.uk resulted in the size counter resetting several times, the plugin needs to distinguish between the user reloading a page and the website doing weird re-directs.

AllmySnow

doesn't work Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Does nothing, no options, no buttons, no snow.

LetItSnow

NO button, NO SNOW Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I CANT FIND THE SNOW BUTTON, NOT EVEN IN CUSTOMIZE.

NO SNOW :-(

Disable clipboard manipulations

Doesnt work Firefox 40.0.2 Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Paste is disabled on the Ladbrokes.com registration page - cant paste password, sick of that kind of crap.

And if fixed, the others are right, add whitelisting.

Internet Archive

Wrong plugin Rated 3 out of 5 stars

What's needed is a one-click button to 'save page now' the current page with no further steps.

Page Control

I don't recall installing this. Firefox already has a pop-up blocker built in. Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I don't recall installing this.

It's a pain, it blocks valid pages from loading and doesn't supply an option to remember not to block those pages.

It also obscures the top of the page which in some cases blocks a search box.

'click for options'

But no useful options.

Copy Plain Text 2

It works Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I can finally paste stuff into spreadsheets or text boxes without the long winded special paste or paste into notepad and copy and paste again malarkey.

User Agent Switcher

Pointless, only works briefly. Rated 1 out of 5 stars

The author knows the user agent resets every time Firefox is started but does nothing to deal with this.

Hasn't worked for a couple of FF versions Rated 1 out of 5 stars

It never worked very well, it only updated the IP when Firefox was started, now it does not get the IP address at all.

Easy Copy

Brilliant, handy easy. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This will save a lot of time, I can open a bunch of bookmarks and get a bunch of link code, paste like so:

Useless for all the forums I post to. <blockquote>example text</blockquote> is what I need for Disqus and the other forums I post to. There should be an option of which tag type to use.

Dreadful, too many words missing. Rated 1 out of 5 stars

What point is a dictionary that doesn't have a large percentage of the common vocabulary.

'Movie' is not a word!!

Menu Editor

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Awesome, using this enables me to use classic look Firefox with a couple of menu items I don't need removed (edit and help) and then put the url box and search box on the top line to have a minimalist browser with maximum usability.

The ability to de-clutter the (right-click) context menu is also awesome.

Thank you to the author for writing this.

Bug:

The Text input box that comes up when you click [report issue] button disappears if you click on any other tab or window. This is very unhelpful if you're trying to paste a link and some other bug related info' in to the box.

Too many words missing.

Plonked? It seems that every other sentence I write hits the dictionary's poor vocabulary.

ASL - Advanced Stop Line. Why does the dictionary not allow abbrev's and capitalised acronyms to be ignored?

What is an apostrophe for? (Answer: ownership and abbreviation/omission.)

Names, names start with a capital letter, so please ignore them. But seriously, Paypal - it's been in existance for long enough, why isn't it in the dictionary as a name?

When I do need a correction, the most likely word is not next to the cursor, but several words down, it makes more sense for the likely correction word to be at the top - this is not an available option.

The date on the dictionary file is 2006, it is a shame that it is being left in this lacking state.
