This doesn't work at all in Firefox 21. Also, why do you need to depend on right-clicking (or worse, middle-clicking) to open the bookmarks in a new tab? The addon should be changed so that it opens the bookmarks in a new tab when you LEFT-click on the bookmarks.
A great add-on, because it gives you an additional way to download things that people try to prevent you from saving or downloading. Strangely though, I have firefox 21 & Windows 8, but I couldn't download it from here. I had to go to sourceforge & download it from there. The add-on's main page kept on telling me that it's "Not available for your platform". Hopefully the next version fixes that mistake. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.7.201203262033).
A MUST-have add-on, because firefox's new download window loves to disappear, with no way to bring it back, so that you can't keep track of a download's progress.
Also, I have firefox 21, & it works in it as advertised.
No icon, no button, hasn't been updated since February 2011.
This add-on helps firefox to have lots of room in it's cache. If your firefox ever gets slow, try using it.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.2).
A great add-on that everybody needs, thanks to the idiots who decided to make the backwards/forwards buttons into ONE button. My only complaint about this add-on is that I KNEW what I was looking for, but it took me an HOUR to find it. You should add some more tags to it's description, like "separate buttons".
This is a MUST-have add-on for people that want to download songs (read = audio), because the only reason that HTML5 was invented was to PREVENT you from songs. Jerks. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.1.3).
This is a MUST-have add-on for people that want to download videos & other things, because the only reason that HTML5 was invented was to PREVENT you from downloading videos & other things. Jerks. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.1.2.3).
It works, but there's a nasty bug where if you switch from FF to IE, you have to close & re-open FF before you can change the UA back to FF. I hope that that gets fixed, because believe it or not, this add-on is actually the BEST user agent changer add-on that there is.
I would love to give this add-on a better rating, but there's NO BUTTON! 'Finding' the add-on ONLY in the right-click menu is a pain, & some sites disable right-clicking, meaning that you can't use this add-on on them at all.
This is one of the WORST user agent switcher add-ons that there is. There is NO way for you to put a button for this add-on anywhere (that is IF it even has one at ALL). There's NO way for you to turn the add-on ON or OFF when YOU want to. (DISABLING an add-on DOESN'T count). IF BOTH of these problems ever get fixed, this will be a good add-on, but right now, just use this "Override User Agent" instead.
A useful add-on for protecting your privacy.
This add-on is very useful for when you're trying to isolate a frame on a page so that you can find the FRAME'S contents (with "Page info") instead of the rest of the page's contents.
Great plug-in for firefox, but change 2 things about it.
1) Always make it tell you EXACTLY what a video's resolution is (360, 480, 720P, 1080P, & others), because low, medium, normal, high, & so on don't tell anybody squat.
2) Let us change the NAME of what to save the video as.
My firefox is 15.0b1.
If you make the mistake of using this guy's addon, then try to customize firefox's UI/GUI, your UI/GUI gets robbed of almost everything. I already posted a 1-star review of this addon for both that reason, & because this guy NEW about this bug (from another person's review of it), but has not FIXED it. Maybe it would be fixed if this guy would spend less time SNIPING at people for complaining about this addon. Now, my earlier review is gone, so here it is re-loaded.
For those of you who want some GOOD video downloaders, use ALL of these instead.
"WildFox Video Add-On"
My FF version is 15.0b1.
I don't know what some other people are smoking, but they're just stupid. It's 2012-August-29, & "Redirect remover 2.6.4" (the latest version) works on EVERY site that I go to.
However, I WILL give one strong warning to those who are new to this addon. Do NOT use this when you're trying to LOGIN to YOUTUBE (& probably some other sites that I can't remember at the moment). Youtube & some other sites DEPEND on redirects for their login process.
Your addon is fantastic, because it lets people put everything in the TOP row (although I still keep my tabs in the row below that), thus reclaiming a lot of screen space for what it is MEANT to display. However, if you then customize the menu by clearing all of the menu items so that you get a Firefox menu BUTTON instead, you will find that the "Tools" menu is NOT inside the Firefox menu button, so I recommend to all users of this addon that when you customize the menu by clearing all of the menu items, you KEEP the "Tools" menu item. You sometimes will need the "Tools" menu to access the "Page info" option on sites that completely disable right clicking. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.20111112).
This addon adds a tab to the "Page Info" section that shows the current webpage's cookies (if any). However, it does NOT have a button that would let you go DIRECTLY to said cookie tab. If a future version of this addon gets a much needed button that lets you do that, then I'll give that version of this addon 5 stars, but v1.10.3 only gets 4 stars for not having said button. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.10.3).
Sometimes, you'll have a lot of tabs open, you'll finish using some of them, & you'll close the ones that you're finished using. Then, later on, you may want to re-open some of the tabs that you closed earlier. Without this addon, you'd have to go to firefox's menu > history > recently closed tabs option just to re-open a SPECIFIC closed tab.
Well, to HELL with that. This addon lets you re-open closed tabs by using a toolbar button or the right-click context menu. Click the drop down arrow on the toolbar button to see the list of closed tabs & choose which one you want to re-open. It's the way that using firefox was MEANT to be.
Great add-on. Version 1.7.3 works with FF-3.6.10. I love ALL of the options, especially love the options to remove the RSS feed icon & the drop down arrow from the location bar.
These are a few suggestions & comments that you can use for future versions. (Note: I use the "Tiny Menu" add-on.) Let us remove the star icon from the location bar (I think it's the favorites icon). I don't remember ever having a Go button, a Go menu, or focus rings around the tab titles. (What do the focus rings look like?) You can remove the Search bar without any add-on's help. & the option "Remove bookmark toolbar folder from the bookmarks menu" does not work :(
