My Reviews

KeeFox

Really Helpful Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This addon, along with KeePass, really improves your security by allowing you to use long, randomized passwords for everything, and keep track of those passwords in a secure utility. Mostly smooth integration between Firefox and KeePass, although some sites make it difficult to log in with a click or using CTRL+ALT+A (autotype shortcut).

I wouldn't use the internet without this utility, though.

All-in-One Sidebar

Needs updating for FF 2.0 Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This is an addon that should be integrated into FF itself, but unfortunately, Firefox 20.0 broke the formatting. The Icons don't show at all on the sidebar.

All-in-One Sidebar

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

This addon is one of my staples that I count on, but as of Firefox 17.0.1, it froze up Firefox for as long as 30 seconds any time you opened the Addons. I've found no addon conflicts; it's just AioS by itself causing that lag. Can you please fix it for FF 18.0? I'm dying without it!

Stylish

Where's the Icon Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It's an excellent addon, but it used to come with an very useful toolbar icon that gave you a dropdown menu for many useful functions, include Enable/Disable all, Manage Styles and turn on/off each style specific to the page you're currently on. What happened to that?

Stop Tube HTML5

Doesn't work anymore Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Dec. 9th; version 0.2.0 doesn't work anymore

DragNDrop Toolbars

Needs update Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Needs to be updated for Firefox 15.0.1

Video DownloadHelper

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Works great in Firefox 15.0, and all that you really need from it is free. It captures multiple formats of each file, so the file converter isn't necessary. 100% free if you don't want the fripperies

Show My Password

Need a version for Thunderbird! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I depend on this addon for Firefox, but I hate it that there's nothing equivalent for Thunderbird!

Add-on Compatibility Reporter

Compatability Buttons Missing Rated 1 out of 5 stars

As of FF 14.0.1, ACR is now entirely useless. The compatibility report buttons are missing entirely from the Addons List. Irony; can't even report ACR's own incompatibility.

Stop YouTube Autoplay

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Finally! One that works without crashing Firefox 13!

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.2.91).

Stop Tube HTML5

Doesn't work at all Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Doesn't work at all on YouTube Videos in Firefox 13.0

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.1.0).

TubeStop

Crashes FF 13.0 Rated 2 out of 5 stars

It causes Firefox 13.0 to crash without any warning or error messages when you access sites with flash content. It was a great addon that I depended on until then.

TubeStop

Doesn't work with *.webm files Rated 2 out of 5 stars

More and more, videos are appearing on YouTube in the *.webm format, and TubeStop doesn't work on them. It blocks the video from starting, but the audio starts on its own and the video can't be started at all. Videos that aren't in *.webm format still work, but as I said, *.webm format is being used more and more on YouTube.

Amplify

Not Usable Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I'm very wary of this company. First, they disabled their vastly-superior Clipmarks site, and now their Amplify site is down as well; not only is it not accepting new users, it's not accepting new clips, either. Now, today, when I tried to clip my weekly FAIR Blog entries, the site was completely gone.

The concept of an addon/site that lets you clip from internet pages and have a discussion board there for people to discuss the issue is a fantastic idea, but this company has made a complete mess of it.

Lazarus: Form Recovery

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is easily the greatest Addon for Firefox, next to NoScript and AdBlockPlus. It allows you to easily recover what you entered in large text field; helpful in places that don't allow you to edit your posts, but you can still delete it. If you make an error in a post, you can delete it, then use Lazarus to load what you typed into the text box, make your edits, and resubmit.

Secure Login

Good, but not quite enough Rated 4 out of 5 stars

A very handy addon, but it's not remembering the usernames and passwords for all login pages. It needs a built-in script that forces the page to save your username and password in the password manager, regardless of what script tricks they might use to prevent you from doing that (like on msn.com and hotmail.com). It's nice to have the instant access, but these days, its usefulness is declining steadily due to these auto-login-evading scripts on pages.

Canadian English Dictionary

No plural definitions? Rated 1 out of 5 stars

The 2.0.2 version of the dictionary is really screwed up. It's flagging plurals and proper conjugations as spelled wrong. It didn't even have the word "has" in its word list. Cripes! It doesn't even have "its" in the list! Somebody screwed up, bad!

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.1).

Murdoch Alert

Good idea, but... Rated 3 out of 5 stars

It would be good if it had a NoScript like function that disables scripts on Murdoch sites unless you approve them.

But also, the big violator, http://www.foxnews.com isn't caught by the addon.
