Google Disconnect

Cant disconnect Disconnect! Rated 1 out of 5 stars

After uninstalling (properly, and according to all instructions) disconnect, it still operates as if still installed, yet it does NOT show up as an Addon in Addons of Firefox.

FireFox is v33.1.1
Disconnect AddOn for FF is v2.4.2

Also, since May of 2013, the addon STILL blanks Google Maps and ALL EMBEDED YouTube videos - that's just stupid.

Point of order, sir! Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I don't get it, I install it, Firefox restarts as usual, then I get bak to this page and it doesnt show as installed yet!?

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.4.1-signed).

Xmarks Sync

No Scripts blocks wonky Xmarks 3.1.1 update from site Rated 4 out of 5 stars

To start with, this is NOT a bug report: The software seems to be doing OK in the sync department. This IS a review, however, and hopefully solution to the method of update delivery by Xmarks.

Well now, Xmarks, with all the talk of Xmarks sync code hasn't changed one bit from when it was Foxmarks, you might still want to check a few things:

1. When you release a new version make sure of TWO things:
A. Make sure you make the newest (3.1.1 as of July, or maybe June?) update available on the Addons.mozilla.com area (big mistake not to do) - as of July 12, 2009 still at 3.1.0
B. Make sure that NoScripts doesnt block your "wonky script way of" trying to figure out which flavor of 3.1.1. should be installed - instead offer only what you already CORRECTLY have on http://download.xmarks.com/download/all (NoScript blocks your attempt via ABE if we use http://download.xmarks.com/download, from that one download link you are trying to run a get script, that is a no-no in NoScript land)

2. The MAIN reason some of your customers (many more than just "dozens", impo) have been experiencing syncing difficulties as soon as you "changed the name" likely has more to do with SSL Certificate Authority than any other single problem. Recently as yesterday or the day before, someone over your way figured this out, as syncing now is no longer the issue it has been over the last 2 and a half months. Also, the new 3.1.1 fixes the Foxmarks tag sync lag through one line of code and other sync errors (but, really only by accident - admit it)

But, now that everything is syncing properly (when the browser starts), I am happy. The only other issue you may want o fix is the "Ask at end [of browsing session]" for syncing - it simply does not ask, nor does it sync in the background while the browser shuts down, whether asking or not. BUT, when that syncing feature DOES work, PLEASE have the decency to self-lower the CPU cycle time priority to LOW.

Hot Topics Sidebar (by OneRiot)

Me.dium? OneRiot? WTF!? Rated 1 out of 5 stars

And so I am the ONLY one that has noticed that since Me.Dium's latest MySpace Medium Toolbar install that me.dium is NO MORE? The URL is now for OneRiot - which is pretty much BS - no chat anymore! Just a pop contest for page hits? I use digg for that. This is crap.

Why the long wait, then? Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Why does it take a developer of addons 3 weeks to see or comment on an erroneous review?
