Thank you for this great addon and your continued effort Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Glad to see Tile Tabs was signed in time for Firefox 43 and work is being done to make the addon e10s compatible. Keep up the good work!

Amazing Add-On! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This app is a must for people with large monitors. You can finally make use all that screen real estate.

Two features worth considering:

1. Ability to refresh all tiles in a layout instead of doing them individually.
2. Ability to add a layout to the bookmark bar for easy access, instead of the current navigation which takes multiple clicks.

Fantastic add-on. Well done!

Really Useful - one frustration Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I love this addon. I'm a researcher and at home need to use multiple monitors, I can't to this on the road and tiletabs makes the job bearable!

Thank you! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Wanted something that would allow me to stream vid while checking other online activity. Many more features than I'll ever need, and bit cramped on the small real estate of my laptop monitor, but serves my needs. :)

Really Like This Add-On, but... Rated 5 out of 5 stars

NEW:
This add-on is perfect ;)
No really, now that I know how to do what I needed it to do... awesome. Thanks!

ORIGINAL:
[--Is there a way to pin a tab in the layout and change the other tab(s) just by selecting a different tab? For example, if it's purely a side-by-side layout, and I want to keep the tab on the left always visible, yet change the tab on the right either by selecting the tab; is there a way to do this?

A scenario would be if I have a video playing in one, yet I'd like to browse other tabs, can I have two tiles but one is a "permanent" pinned tile?

I didn't really see a way to ask this question other than in a review.--]

Otherwise I use this add-on all the time and it's been incredible handy. Thanks.

Tile New Tab function is broken Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Can't tile a new blank tab. It worked before.

Also, if you do Control+W to close a tab in your layout, it will either force you to another tab or hold the tab open until you switch to another tab (or group of tab tiles) and switch back to close the tab- I'd guess this has something to do with the redrawing of the window and is beyond the control of the extension developer.

"Automatically close tabs created by Open Layout" issue Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I use "Single tab for each layout"+"Automatically close tabs created by Open Layout". Layout automatically closes (instantly) through Tile tabs menu, by pressing F12 or double clicking on a layout, but not by the "close button" on layout tab. For 2 tabs layout everything freezes for a moment and then slowly closes, for 3 (and 4) tabs layout "close button" on layout tab closes only one tab from layout, leaving 2 (and 3) tabs in layout; pressing "close button" again freezes for a moment and then closes the rest two tabs.
Update:
The above mentioned behaviour was tested on clean FirefoxPortable 41.0.2 (and 42) profile with no other add-ons. Actually, "freeze" is just the duration of closing the layout (about 2-3 sec.), while the same layout can be closed instantly as described above.
Update for version 13.4:
Thanks for fixing "closing tabs lag", but you still need to fix "Automatically close tabs created by Open Layout" for 3 and 4 tabs layouts: only one tab from these layouts closes by pressing X (close button) on the layout tab.

Responding Rated 5 out of 5 stars

No idea how to respond to you.

But yes, clicking anywhere that isn't firefox and clicking back on that tab immediately triggers side by side tile. Using the latest version, win10 but I am 100% certain this is not a win10 issue. Most certainly a firefox changed something problem as it works in non beta.

And no, I have not changed my add-ons in over a year.

Great extension Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I have been using this extension for some days and works great. It would be fantastic if there would be an "always on top" option for a tile, so a single tile could be always visible, regardless which is the selected tab.
Thanks!

Conflicts with Mission Control on Mac Rated 4 out of 5 stars

On Mac with Firefox in full screen, there is a conflict with mission control. It took a couple hours of troubleshooting to narrow it down to this particular add-on. When the mouse enters a tile, mission control immediately kicks me out of the FF space and switches to desktop 1, requiring me reactive the FF space by swiping the mouse or hitting the mission control button. The issue goes away after enabling "Automatically activate tile when mouse enters tile". I would prefer to not enable it, but it is a quite workable solution. It was just very annoying until I figured out what was going on.

Great extension once I read the instructions on how to make it behave like Tile View.

old google page Rated 5 out of 5 stars

The best layout was the old Google start page where you could select the tiles you wanted on the screen of your home page. Provided a lot of information in a small space. That would be an improvement.

Excellent enough to make me write my first review ever. It's nice at home on a 27", and powerful at work with SFDC and dual 4:3s monitors. Thank you and congratulations.

マルチウインドウを実現できる拡張機能の「決定版」です。 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Fantastic App. Use at work and at home everyday.
Combined with tab groups this works really well.
Set a layout switch out with ctrl + ` and then switch back to check on all the info.

My only feature request would be the option to open new tabs at the end of current group rather than next to the current tab.

The Best Addon Since Adblock Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is exactly what I've been needing, and a feature that firefox has been lacking. I don't know what the other user's are whining about, there are no problems that i can find. I am using Firefox 38, Linux (Kubuntu) and it has NO issues. The only problem that I can see is the mass amounts of whiny users :P *deserves a 6th star*

Downgrading to version 12.9.1 fixes the address bar focus issue Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I thought the new Firefox update was causing the address bar not to be focused when openning a new tab. Disabling extensions one by one, I found Tile Tabs to be the culprit. Downgrading Tile Tabs to version 12.9.1 fixes the address bar focus issue for now and I'm very happy with it.

issue raised Rated 4 out of 5 stars

[EDITED]
I agree with the comments about how great the extension is.

Still I feel the need to comment to add some more about the URL bar focus issue. It must have appeared along with recent Firefox releases. It is about being unable to type in the URL bar upon opening a new tab (hence the "no focus" problem) as it is expected as FF's default behavior. If Tile-tabs is left enabled, then no cursor appear and no element on the blank new page has an actual focus. To type in the URL bar, you need to click on it or use the usual "CTRL+L" keyboard shortcut.

Though I have been using tile-tabs for a long time now, I disabled it because how irritating to me is the issue with losing focus on the URL bar after opening a new tab. When you're doing that tens and tens of times a day, you're both accustomed to that behavior, and expecting getting to the web page really fast. Please get in sync with the latest developments to correct it.

[UPDATE]
A developer was kind enough to take the time to reply. Here is the answer I got from him over email (as per below in the reply section) :
"Reply:
Fixed in Version 13.1
This problem is fixed in Tile Tabs 13.1. Please see reply to Sadarax.

Trying to get in sync with the latest developments (multiprocess Firefox 41.0a1) is what caused the problem!"

However, the problem occurred while using Firefox v.38.0.5 and Tile Tabs v. 13.1..

I agree with Sadarax, with the recent update you lose the focus if you open a new tab, which forces you to use the mouse to put the cursor back to the adress bar or search bar.

Please fix this so I can keep using this great add-on which I really like.

Edit: Thanks alot for the fast intervention!
