I really love this add-on Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Hello, I really love this add-on, and use it daily. Unfortunately, since Firefox upgrade to 50.0 yesterday, it doesn't work as it should (shows only 1 tile per tab). Same for the sister tool Tile View. Best regards

Tile Tabs works with Firefox 50.0 ...

Tile Tabs and Tile View have been tested and both work correctly with Firefox 50.0.

The problem you have reported may be caused by a conflict with another add-on.

Have you tried creating a new profile and installing just Tile Tabs (and no other add-ons) ?

Excellent ! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is an invaluable extension for active users and web developers, making
possible e.g. to watch multiple content, open search results from google or youtube
in other tabs without the need to leave the results page and much more.

To the developer:
I face a strange glitch in my localized firefox (Greek), which makes the icon of the
toolbar button to be invisible (default theme).
How to reproduce this issue:
1. Install greek firefox or greek language pack.
2. Install "Tile Tabs" and "Classic Theme Restorer".
3. Enter customization mode and select "Small" buttons (Option in bottom-left,
added by CTR) ("Small" = "Μικρά" in Greek).
The icon of Tile Tabs toolbar button disappears..

I face this issue in WinXP, Win7 and Win10, only in Greek and only when the
toolbar button is placed on the main toolbar (default).

Problem caused by bug in Classic Theme Restorer ...

This problem is caused by a small bug in Classic Theme Restorer.

Classic Theme Restorer applies the following CSS rule to the Tile Tabs toolbar button when it is on the main toolbar (nav-bar):

#navigator-toolbox #nav-bar .toolbarbutton-menubutton-button:not([label="Tile Tabs"]) .toolbarbutton-icon
{
.....
background: none !important;
background-image: none !important;
.....
}

This works if the language is English when the label is "Tile Tabs", but does not work if the language is Greek when the label is "Πλακιδιοποίηση καρτελών".

To fix this problem, the developer of Classic Theme Restorer needs to change the CSS rule selector to:

#navigator-toolbox #nav-bar .toolbarbutton-menubutton-button:not([id="tiletabs-buttonmenu"]) .toolbarbutton-icon

Worked great Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Worked great until yesterday. New tabs would not focus the url bar. I did the normal troubleshooting and disabled addons to see if it wasnt playing nice with another one but that wasnt the case. Disabling it returned the functionality back.

Update: It was promptly fixed :D

Fixed in Version 14.9

This problem is fixed in Tile Tabs 14.9, which was released earlier today.

Fantastic tool for web developers Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It lets me work simultaneously on a mobile and desktop version of the site I'm building AND have access to all the developer tools in Firefox. I love that I can use split screen on my Mac, have my code editor on the left and have Tile Tabs on the right, both on full screen. Perfect!

The extension is regularly updated. It happened to me several times, that an update to Firefox (multiprocess mode, etc.) would break Tile Tabs. Yes, I update Firefox every day. The developer always posted a fix within a few days.

Near Perfect! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

My absolute favorite app! Makes navigating to, and simultaneous use of, multiple Webpages a "snap".

Great for larg(ish) screens. Not so much on the laptops, though.

(The "properties" ghost dialog popping up every time you turn around is the one nuisance I find in using this. Is there a way to turn it off?)

I would say the introductory instructions for the software are a bit on the dense side. I had to learn how to use this app through trial and error. Took a while, but, once learned, it's well worth the time.

How to turn off 'Properties' popups ...

You can turn off the 'Properties' popup as follows:

- open the 'Options' dialog
- select the 'Tiles' options tab
- disable (untick) 'Auto-show Properties when mouse enters inactive tile'
- disable (untick) 'Auto-show Properties when mouse enters active tile'
- click OK

Tile Tabs Very GOOD Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Hello, I want to say thank you. Excellent app. I enjoyed earlier similar application on Chrome. Is it possible to see this extension on Chrome?. I have created a layout with two tabs and put a tick in the
 • Restore the layout from a previous session on start-up and after restart.
 • Apply the default layout on start-up and after restart.
From an external application open the two links, the first link opens in the first tab of the tiles, and the second link opens the third tab (third tab is created). How do I solve this problem. Help. Thank you very much in advance. And sorry for my english

It breaks Whatsapp Desktop... Otherwise great. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I've been using this plugin for years, I can't really complain much but, there is this bug that, well, bugs me. Whenever I am in tiled tabs mode, I can't properly use Whatsapp Desktop plugin, I try to type text in it and sadly, it simply doesn't work. I wish this issue can be addressed, because I have to untile my tabs all the time to chat and then tile again...

Fixed in Version 14.4

This problem is fixed in Tile Tabs 14.4, and also in Tile View 6.2, both of which have been submitted to Mozilla for review and release in a few days time.

Very good and usefull / Sehr gut und nützlich Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Hello,
i like this addon very much. I know it from vivaldi browser, which has an excellent tile-feature. But this addon is also very good. The german translation of this addon is sometimes confusing. But let me ask for one behavior. For example i want to tile first and seventh tab. I have opend ten tabs. The only way to make this possible is to move the first tab next the seventh tab and activate tile-view. Is this right? By the way: is there an paypal link to spend a donation for a cup of coffee to this good addon?

german/deutsch

Hallo,

Quick ways to tile tabs ...

If you want to tile the first tab with the seventh tab, here are two easy ways to do that:

1. Select the first tab. Right-click on the page contents to show the context menu. Select 'Tile Tab', then select 'Right', and then select the seventh tile.

2. Select the first tab. Shift+Click on the seventh tab and drag it over the page contents towards the right-hand side (the popup should display 'Right'), then drop the tab.

this is possiblly the most amazing plugin ever... Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I only installed this plug-in a few hours ago, but for a portrait monitor this is a must have
I split my Social media pages so I can see them all at once.
and split my two email accounts so once again I can see them both at once.

Works well! (But I wish...) Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Installed this plugin and tested it out briefly. It works smoothly and seems to be well put together. It also works fine with the "Tree Style Tab" addon by Piro.

But, I was expecting there to be a master scroll bar so that I could tile continuously beyond the browser screen. As it is, it can only show as many tiles as will fit on your monitor. ...Not a negative since it works as designed, just doesn't do what I wanted

Great addon Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This does everything, as advertised. There are a extra features that would be nice to have, but I am not sure how many people, other than myself, would use them.

- Save other currently opened tabs, even if not tiled.
- Save Firebug state
- Save Web Developer's "Responsive Design View" state

Tile Tabs is incompatible with Personal Menu Rated 4 out of 5 stars

The lastest versions of Tile Tabs (13.5 and up) are incompatible with addon Personal Menu (https://addons.mozilla.org/ru/firefox/addon/personal-menu/). When Personal Menu and Tile Tabs are installed
simultaneously and I open previously saved session (with Session Manager) no matter which tab I click, I always see the same webpage (the first opened after Firefox start).
