For the last five years, I have been doing mobile web development. About six months into the job, one of my frustrations was being able to test using an ordinary browser. The user-agent switcher was handy for spoofing different devices, but mobile web development often requires other headers to be enabled for applications to work.
Firefox 1.0 was just a few months old and I was an avid user since Phoenix. I knew about addons and decided to have a go myself. It took just a couple of weeks to learn the basics and get something useful.
The main focus for future versions of Modify Headers is to provide better tools for managing large numbers of header values and enable site specific profiles.
