Has too many problems and breaks the URL bar Rated 2 out of 5 stars

It makes the Enter/Return button in the URL bar and clicking an entry from your favorites or history not work;
Sometimes the drop-down list gets cut-off;
When you use the calculator, it permanently stays on that tab;
there isn't an option for predictions like there is for "Enable Instant" lets lets users apply a rule for all search engines instead of having to do it manually;
lastly, the most recently selected text stays in the right click menu even when you have nothing selected.

Other than these problems, it's a pretty good add-on.

Can't live without it! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I was a Chrome user until recently when I started getting too many errors, and searching from the address bar (with auto-complete) was something I really missed when I switched to Firefox. But with this extension, once you turn on instant, I have the Chrome address bar search experience in Firefox.

This add-on makes searching and browsing much faster and smoother. You can add any search engine you want. Love it!

A Few Suggestions Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Great alternative to the omnibar addon! InstantFox is honestly the best addon of its type I've used so far. One suggestion though: can we remove the magnifying glass from the background of the suggestions? It looks out of place and gets in the way.

Also, it'd be nice if the suggestions would display the section that you're typing. For example, my URL bar is shorter because of userchromeCSS, so the suggestion is often cut off. If the suggestions would move to the right as you're typing, that would be incredibly useful.

the ideal alternative to google chrome omnibar..
just enable the " standard search without shorcuts "
in my sense this should be enable by default...

Don't quite like to have no easy way to pick an default engine (like an button in addressbar as omniabar). But otherwise all I really need, including an quick, easy, way to add custom engines.

Is this add-on superseded by the new built-in search? Rated 3 out of 5 stars

This used to be one of my favorite add-on. However, I had to uninstall it since it is broken in the current nightly. However, I noticed that the built-in search in the current nightly can do most (if not all) of this add-on. Just curious if I still need this add-on?

Intuitive, fully customisable, fast and efficient. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Intuitive, fully customisable, fast and efficient.
Installed Instantfox add-on, customised the default search addresses and within minutes I was saving time. No more need to open additional tabs, pass through different search engines, go to home pages (ebay, amazon, wikipedia) to start a search, everything is done from the address field in Firefox. Now I type "auk" to search Amazon.co.uk and "afr" to search Amazon.fr, etc, etc. This functionality should be standard on a web browser!! Five stars cos I can't give six. Thank you.

Fix fo Nightly Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Will there be a fix for Nightly ? The current version is really painful to use with the awesome bar break...

tolles addon Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I was looking for this exact add-on without even realizing it. It's already super useful -- customizing which search engines you want to use with what keywords is a fantastic idea. Highly recommended!

Search Engine icon request Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Extensions is really good, thank you so much.
Though it'd be even better if some minor features added:
1. Icon of SE being used: when I'm type search request i'd like to see current search engine icon near the search string (as it is done in default searchbar) and near suggestions optionally.
2. Possibility to choose the default search among available engines, not only set query and suggestions strings manually.

Thanks!

Breaks current Nightly (version 31.0a1) address bar. Rated 1 out of 5 stars

My address bar died. After restarting my browser (Nightly 31.0a1) with the addons disabled, my address bar worked, so I decided to re-enable all addons and disable them individually and restart the browser each time.
Turns out, 'InstantFox Quick Search' was the problem.

Please fix it!
