I installed it, and it worked well. Useful.

i'm going to uninstall flashblock for now, i can't spend my life clicking & unclicking legitimate flash presentations, when all i want is to filter a specific list of video like websites .. .
this has been requested since years... "make it a blacklist mode engine" it would be better than eternally whitelisting web presentations based on flash . ..

that would be nice if you could finally add this.

great for youtube, bad for everything else Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I use this add-on to keep youtube videos from playing automatically. Considering how widely used youtube is, that's enough to justify having this add-on. On most sites it blocks flash that doesn't play automatically, which only necessitates an extra click, but for some it prevents streaming altogether.
In addition to the WhiteList it could also use a BlackList so the options aren't limited to allowing flash universally and blocking it with few exceptions.

Excelente. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Sin dudar algo que siempre va a estar en cualquier navegador junto a adblock.

Well that was refreshingly easy! I installed it, restarted and all the video adverts GONE. Wonderful thanks.

Blocks Flash, but also prevents MP3 files from playing Rated 2 out of 5 stars

It worked great until I updated Firefox from 24 to 29.01, in which Flashblock is somehow intervening when you click on a link to an MP3 file, blocking all actions on the file (you can bypass by right-clicking the link and saving it). On balance, it's still worth having this add-on, but the MP3 issue is a serious deficiency.

This addon is useless. Latest version of Firefox blocks Flash and Silverlight by default!

4 stars, cant give it 5, sometimes on (for example) Facebook games it blocks the flash accordingly, you click it to start and it works fine, but sometimes the Devs of the games have their "offers" poping up before the game loads and this always comes up, if u then have flashblock on and you click away the offer the flash game can not start, no matter how much you click or where you click, the button just aint there and the game doesnt load, when hte game have no offers and loads the game first it works fine, if you click ALLOW completely (green button) game loads after dev commercial/"offer" popups gets closed!

Still works fine in Awfulstralis. :) I partly agree with kan_gou_lai that showing the first image would be nice, but if you decided to do that I would overlay the f symbol on top of it because in many cases the first frame would be featureless anyway, leaving the user to wonder if it was blocked flash or just a malfunction or mistake.

The symbol itself could be improved. It doesn't show for me when I have the extension "Blank Your Moniter" toggled on. I suggest a symbol that's simple, opaque, and with colors to show against any background, such as black circle surrounding a white field surrounding a black f.

Anyway, it's still a 5 star addon.

I love this plug-in. It stops all the videos auto-playing. It would be better if we have the first image of the video appears instead of the flash symbol.

Works flawlessly. Requires nothing more to be said.

Getting a bit out of date sadly Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Excellent Flash blocker.
But sites like Vimeo are now using nested frames or something. So whilst the flash logo is shown, you can't allow or disallow the flash to run. So I can find out site to white list. The video plays but the flash logo still remains on screen and I can't see the video until I disable the addon.

Can we get a icon on the addon bar to white list sites or a on/off switch?

este extra é muito útil no Firefox 29 , mas as vezes parece que trava um bocado não sei bem se é mesmo de este extra pois tenho muitos extras que podem estar a fazer conflitos .
