Why was Double Click Closes Tab created?
"Tab clicking options" was usually among the 1st extensions I install on a new FF installation, simply for the "double click on tab to close tab" function. When I started using Chrome, I found no such extension because Chrome disables tab events. So I made an extension to semi-intelligently allow user to double click anywhere on webpage to close tab. I also allow triple click on page to close tab for added safety (to prevent closing tabs inadvertently).
Turns out that this is much easier to use than double click on tab (IMO). I found myself constantly wanting the same functionality in FF since. So here it is - it's even better than the Chrome counterpart as one can double/triple click either on tab or inside webpage to close the tab in Firefox (Newer version supports middle click/double right click/triple right click/double middle click on page to close tab too). Hope you like it!
What's next for Double Click Closes Tab
I keep it minimal for now - no need for a heavyweight extension for a simple functionality. If there's a function that'll make things easier and appeal to many users, feel free to suggest! I might include it in next release.
Also check out my Fastest Search and TableTools2 addons. They're both much more complex/advanced than DCCT and very handy!

Who is Mingyi Liu?
It's more interesting to check out my addons, or listen to the beautiful music my older son Charlie Liu produces - at least 10 million viewers have watched him perform piano on TV. Less than 1/20 of that number of people have downloaded my software, not that I'm complaining or anything!
Still, I'm hoping to change that with my latest Fastest Search Addon though. It'll be tremendously useful for most Firefox users. Check it out, you'll love it.
