The auto-discovery for search boxes in unknown websites is very interesting. You don't have to register special rules for websites anymore. Only a concern, this seems to support character-encodings for Japanese language (Shift_JIS, EUC-JP, etc.). I hope this will be updated for other languages, e.g. Chinese.

URIのパラメータ部分を手がかりにして検索ボックスにあたる入力欄を自動認識するというコンセプトが、とても興味深いです。検索ボックスの検出ルールの事前定義が必要ないのは素晴らしいです。惜しむらくは、現状ではShift_JISやEUC-JPなどの日本語系のエンコーディングにしか対応していないと思われる点でしょうか。Firefox本体のAPIを上手く利用して、中国語など他の言語圏のエンコーディングでも期待通り機能するようになればいいなあと思います。
