This Add-On is Not Necessary Rated 1 out of 5 stars
You can do this without an add-on -
Click the menu button at the top-right of the Firefox window, selecting "Customize". A "Customize Firefox" tab opens. At the bottom-left, click the "Title Bar" button. Then close the window.

BROKEN In meantime I found this userstyles that is doing the same thing and more: https://userstyles.org/styles/41025/firefox-bring-the-title-back
Rated 2 out of 5 stars
Apparently, it hasn't been updated for the newer versions of Firefox (29+), where the full menu appears in the title bar.
I expected the title to be next to this menu, as shown in the (old) screenshots, but no, it is displayed below it, so we still loose vertical space.
As tedych said, it is not better than setting the browser.tabs.drawInTitlebar=false option in about:config (displaying the title above the menu).
Needs an update.
Uninstalled as fast as I installed it (at least, no restart needed!).

great work but I'm having some issues with your add-on and Classic Theme Restorer (CTR).
I've manually edited the windows.css file to add some distance to the left of the title (margin-left: 30px; in #AeroTitleToolbar) so it doesn't overlap with the firefox button I've restored with CTR and it looks great but only if I use the option Application Button -> "Button on [Firefox] titlebar (icon only) (v2)". If use the non-v2 option (both for icon only or full button) I get an extra blank row of title bar (see links bellow).
Do you or anybody else have an idea why is this happening and how can I prevent it?
you have to open the .xpi file of this extension with 7Zip/WinRar/WinZIP as a normal .zip file and you'll find the path that AngusSF is talking about inside
Where is window.css? Rated 4 out of 5 stars
I like this add-on, but it needs a color change option, I have black writing on dark blue border. I see the post/review from AngusSF on May 1, 2014 "To change the color of the title text in v2.0 of this add-on, edit "\resources\aero-window-title\data\window.css" and in the section "#AeroTitleToolbar" change "color: black;" to your choice of color. I chose "color: white;"
However I have no idea where that window.css is located - can someone assist? Thank you - great add-on otherwise!
no need for this Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Just try the following option to display the titlebar. It works for me without any additional addons.
browser.tabs.drawInTitlebar = false
Title is displayed in separate line [№3] Rated 2 out of 5 stars
I also can confirm this issue - it adds title bar below menu bar. Screenshot: http://lexi.ucoz.ru/img/title.png
Promising - but not working Rated 2 out of 5 stars
I can confirm all the latest issues - first, it adds title bar _below_ menu bar, and that should be vice versa. Disabling Classic Theme Restorer and/or Classic Toolbar Buttons doesn't change anything.
And second, I get black-on-black text in that title bar, since i have Black as title color in Windows (Win7 x64).
Title is displayed in separate line Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I'm using Windows 7 SP1 x64, Firefox 29.0 and Classic Theme Restorer, which I use for the following tweaks (among others):
1) Put the tabs below the address bar (tabsontop=false)
2) Put the Firefox app button into the title bar (option "tabs in title bar")
With this configuration, the Display Window Title puts the window title into a second row in the title bar, so you have the Firefox app button on top, then the window title and then the toolbars.

GREAT!!! Works very well with Classic Theme Restorer for Firefox 29, could be styled with Stylish. This user has a previous review of this add-on.
Not displaying in the window title bar Rated 4 out of 5 stars
For me, the title displays in a new row below the title bar (where the Firefox button and window controls are) instead of inside the title bar as depicted in the screenshots. The title is important, but not enough to take up an extra row, so I hope this will be fixed.
Nathan, what operating system do you see this on, and do you see this in Firefox 29? On Windows and mac, Australis hides the default title bar by default, so this addon is designed to put it back.
Re: How to change the color of the title in v2.0 Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Thank you AngusSF, white color is much better! Not easy to find the file because it is inside an archive file... but I found it :)

It was driving me crazy not having the title bar in FF 29. Thanks!
How to change the color of the title in v2.0 Rated 4 out of 5 stars
This extension would rate 5 stars if we could easily configure font, font size, and font color.
To change the color of the title text in v2.0 of this add-on, edit "\resources\aero-window-title\data\window.css" and in the section "#AeroTitleToolbar" change "color: black;" to your choice of color. I chose "color: white;"

Most of the time I don't even notice I have this installed. That's a good thing, because a title on the window is the way Firefox was meant to work, and this addon brings it home just nicely. The only problem is that some themes don't clash well with the addon, mostly color-wise; an option to customize it would be great. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.6).
Thank you! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This feature is REQUIRED for general usability. I don't know why it was removed at all.
Thank you so much for this :)
almost good! Rated 4 out of 5 stars
the problem with it is that it uses "-moz-MenuBarText" color for the title text, which is not in any way related to the window title background...
for example, my windows theme is dark colored- and the addon displays the title in black color by force, making the title unreadable (as it's black color on dark blue on my case).
i guess the developer wanted to show the black color on white glow but, for example, my windows theme doesn't support this.
can you please fix this to use the actual windows theme window-title font color? or at least make the color customizable?
EDIT: for anyone who also has a different theme than the one that the developer has and wants to fix this on his own:
turn firefox off, open up the .xpi file in 7zip, edit the aero-overlay.xul, find string "-moz-MenuBarText" and replace it with "CaptionText", close and save everything, turn firefox back on again
Does what it promises Rated 4 out of 5 stars
It does what it promises - shows the full title in the title bar. The tab is just too short for showing the full title and I don't want to hover the mouse over the tab all the time just to see the full tab title. All in all, this is very useful. The only downside is that there is no any configurability. With some configuration options (mainly the font), I'd give it full five stars. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.6).

this is a good working addon, but it will be great if i'm able to change the font, font size and font color. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.6).
