My Reviews

JS Print Setup

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Absolutely superb! It would be awesome if there was a js-ctyeps module we can use in our own addons. Like for my screenshot addon I wanted to send an image to printer.

Reddit Alien

Very very cute!

EmojiT - Emoji Panel for Twitter

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Very cool - I would recommend the smilie `Icon--smileRating5Fill` instead of the current one. It matches more. Is this addon for Firefox only? If so I would love to provide a pull request with some ideas.

FreeBSD Manual Pages

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Wow this is amazing. I do a bunch of js-ctypes to use native platform APIs, so this is really amazing. Thank you!

Mind the Time

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Absolutely wonderful. My favorite part about this, is that it is made specifically and only for Firefox!

But is there anyway to make it so that it continues to time as long as the tab is opened (it doesnt have to be focused), for a certain domain. Because I download files from the site and analyze it in an offline app, and then come back to Firefox to complete the work. But this is only for specific domains.

Right now I see only an option to make it continually time for all domains or none domains.

Works as expected.

Firefox Hello Beta (discontinued)

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I use Firefox beta distro. I saw FxHello was deprecated and read article that it is gone. I hope to see this come back as an addon I really loved it. I hope it replaces Vidyo chat room software so everyone uses it. Needs support for more then just 2 users.

Currently it has a bug, as I click the toolbar button it endlessly opens blank new windows.

Zoom JS in/out

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Do you have a github repository for this? I was hoping to team up if you are comfortable.

The additions I was hoping to add was:
* Rather then toolbar button, when user holds mouse button down it will zoom. If they continue to hold it will zoom one element deeper, until they stop holding.
* Holding while zoomed in will zoom all the way out
* Options page (padding on zoom, mouse hold time)
* Make it work in non-html pages as well

Here is my addon and github repo:

Time Keeper

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Out of all the addons on addons mozilla org website this is the ONLY one that has the "timer"/"stopwatch" functionality, and is using up to date technology.

I got lucky and "every minute" was exactly what I needed, however we should be able to tune it too Every X. Maybe with a nice GUI to set it, like on iPhone applications.

The notifications also go away after like 15 seconds, if possible can you make it so the notification does not go away until dismissed?

My timer also starts at an offset like other revies. Except mine starts at 15:00:00.

Disable WebRTC Indicator Overlay

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Very cool. I created a screen recording addon, not yet released due to issues with upload. But it shows this rtc indicator. This allows us to turn it off. I'll link this addon from my addon as soon as it uploads. My addon is here for now - https://github.com/mozilla/addons/issues/145

Telegram™ Desktop

On browser startup can you please make the panel init. Because right now it won't init till I click the toolbar button to open it once. So I miss messages and people call me and are like why aren't you replying. And I'm like shoot Im not getting any notifications on desktop.

Best wishes to you and your family!

NoSquint

Hi there NoSquint author, would you consider linking to GlobalZoom addon? I am maintaining that and people seem to say that it does what NoSquint does.

Thanks!

ChmFox

Hi there,
I saw your review on "Capture Fox" addon, from 2011. You recommended the author move to js-ctypes. I have started this. I am using DirectShow and COM. I got audio capture from mic and system down. Here is audio capture from mic - https://github.com/Noitidart/ostypes_playground/tree/13a19e2b8a484aea2a7c60038fa16a2826426a8f

If you install that addon, and talk into your mic, you will hear your voice in the speakers.

I was wondering if you would like to work with me on that addon? I can do all the porting, but I was having some difficulty understanding some of the code out there. My email is noitidart@gmail.com

Stay On Top

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Absolutely awesome! We need a hotkey, mac support, and linux support please! :)

The hotkey would be very useful, as right now, only windows with the toolbar button can be set to always on top. I have a need to set always on top chrome-less windows. (it doesnt have url bar or toolbar). Hotkey would do the trick here.

For instance I am trying to set always on top the "Browser Console" that opens with Ctrl + Shift + J

Capture Fox

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I am currently working on recreating this in my free time, as a fun project.

I am addressing Windows platform first and am using DirectShow. I am making great progress as seen here - https://github.com/Noitidart/ostypes_playground/commits/audio-capture

If anyone is want to collaborate, especially on the Linux and Mac part, please let me know. I would really appreciate it. Even if you don't want to get involved in the js-ctypes, if you know the AVFoundation on Mac, or the method on Linux, if you can show me the code I can port it.

I know of the future of WebRTC however, I have seen many extensions in Google Chrome do this and they had to rely on binary components to get it perfect. This is why I'm going with js-ctypes approach.

Please email me at noitidart@gmail.com and I would love to work with you!
