Very Useful Add-On Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I have found that since I started using this add-on that it saves me a lot of time and frustration.

I was somewhat daunted by some of the critical reviews, but have very few issues with it in the three weeks I have been using it.

I suppose that everyone configures Thunderbird differently and sees something different. Also, some may not compact folders often or may have corrupted databases and not know it, but for me it is a very valuable addition to Thunderbird and IMO should be part of the software itself.

The only obvious issue I have is that when I open a new window when reading a message, that window is oversize and uncontrollable. I'm willing to live with that until such time as it is fixed.

I'm giving this five stars because it is so valuable to me and I am willing to overlook a few little bugs.

Even without this add-on, I suggest setting Thunderbird to compact folders more often as the default is too seldom -- IMO You'll be happy if you do.

does not work when I change the style of reading pane, and need to restart thunderbird to make it work again.

but it is still awesome.

That was awesome, Jonathan ! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I like this one, good work. keep up!

Doesn't work. I enabled it and nothing changed. Also, the unified inbox was messed up, displaying garbage.

Not perfect, but much a great extension

Great application, time saving!

Poor concept — Too simplistic Rated 2 out of 5 stars

This add-on restructures the whole TB interface in a too simplistic way which impairs productivity. Recommended only if you don't care about productivity.

The main points I dislike are:
1. . .no "reply" button
2. . .no "delete message" button
3. . .interface bloated with useless buttons
4. . .useless inline quick-reply form. I use Quicktext 0.9 to aid email writing and deploy templates. Inline reply is just useless
5. . .the UI is mostly not customizable, except for minor (useless) details
6. . .unpleasant color scheme: orange, red, blue, gray, light blue. I dislike it.

I would suggest to introduce /way/ more customization options in the add-on settings tab, to best fit everybody's needs or tastes.

Features I'd like to have, either available by settings or by default:
1. . .comprehensive UI headers, soberly showing email subject, source and destination address
2. . .sober buttons, showing /both/ icon and text label
3. . .no CSS shades or blurred round bar effects
4. . .more sober, accessible, and customizable UI

Love this Extension, but ... Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Love this extension, but unfortunately it doesn't play with with T-Bird 34. Not a big problem as I can easily drop T-Bird back a version, but I do hope it will be updated.

Great extension Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It would be perfect if it would be possible to show the conversation by date in descending order.

Bonjour,

Super mais sans pièces jointes Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Malheureusement, le module affiche les pièces jointes des messages un peu quand il veut, il faut donc passer par le lecteur classique, ce qui est très embêtant !

Great Plugin with a horrible bug Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Conversations really helps you keep track of your mails and their context - it gets rid of the old Thunderbird problem that there was no easy way to jump to a sent message with the same subject, for reference purposes. It's really well thought-out and the switch was very seemles to me, although this plugin offers quite a paradigm shift in how you work with your mails.

However, if you write a reply to a thread and somebody replies before you're done, your draft is lost. I'm sure this can only be a temporary issue that will be fixed soon, but for now it makes it kind of dangerous to compose longer mails directly inside Thunderbird.

This is tracked as https://github.com/protz/GMail-Conversation-View/issues/730#issuecomment-54701790 ; any help is welcome as I currently don't have much time to fix issues.

Very useful, but has a bug (probably) Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Very useful addon, brings Gmail grouping functionality in desktop client. However, when I am replying a message in thread and I receive a new one (in that thread) I lost everything and I have to write it again

Attachments Rated 4 out of 5 stars

After last update, I cannot see attachments (only .hml).

Addon not compatible with Lightning 3.3 Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I'm using TB 31.0 with Firefox 30.0. Unfortunately, when it's enabled, Lightning 3.3 (most recent) is affected. The result is that all options for events and tasks are greyed out, including the dropdown options from Tools/Events and Tasks. But all of these are working fine when I disable Thunderbird Conversations. That's disappointing as this addon is great otherwise.

Need option to disable thumbnail and view pictures opened in email Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I have two key 'asks' for this add on:
(1) The use of thumbnails bring us back several years behind in terms of email experience. Viewing pictures opened and embedded in the email is now the norm. The use of thumbnails should be an option.
(2) As already stated by others, the most recent emails in a thread should really be displayed at the top.

Otherwise, good work on this add-on.

good, but needs a few more features to be useable Rated 3 out of 5 stars

really needs to have most recent messages on top of the threads not on the bottom which requires looking more to read them. good idea, but not quite ready for everyday use. too frustrating. If you want to check out a program that does threading very well, look at Postbox email client.
