It works fine and is filled with optional features that probably I never use, like emptying cache when the proxy is switched. (Does that mean if I accidentally click on its icon, my cache would be gone?)

But why are some basics are neglected? The name of the default profile cannot be changed. (Why should there be a mandatory profile anyway?) And the icon in the context menu is misplaced.

Does not work with latest version of Thunderbird.

Unable to safely use with TOR. You need to be able to change the Socks port to a separate port from the rest to properly use TOR and a web proxy.

Crash with new Seamonkey betas Rated 5 out of 5 stars

FoxyProxy is great until it keeps crashing in the newer Seamonkey builds (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:41.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/41.0 SeaMonkey/2.38a1)

It seems to me like it's time to find another proxy addon. Thanks for the great thing for all these years though

Not paying = not working. Therefore, worst proxy of them all.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.5.1-signed).

not true

You do not need to pay anything to use the add-on. You can buy proxy/vpn service from us, but you do not need to in order to use the add-on.

It's bad when your antivirus screams a page up- NOT TRUSTED! Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Is there a half star rating in future?
So I know FoxyProxy has popped on Firefox for years. I bypass the warning that the site I'm about to go to after adding this to my browser and the window opens! What's it say? MONEY! Buy Foxy Proxy. And here's the perk$....
I close that out, go to the Foxy options window and all the proxy links to add to Foxy are blank!
THERE ARE NO PROXY SITES!
IF you want this basic to work you'll have to pay! Point blank period!
Gods know what installed when you added this to your browser just to find that out.
But, and this is key, now you know why it's called "foxy". Sly, like a .....

AnonymoX beats this piece of work paws down. And it even sucks at times because it loses connection. BUT, at least it has proxy connections. Foxy can't say that. Well, at least it won't if you don't pay it too. And who's going to pay money to find out if that changes?

Still doesn't work in Trial Mode Rated 1 out of 5 stars

All the previous "Positive" reviews (of it working at all) must be friends, I will not pay for something which hasn't proven itself to me. How can you expect someone to donate or even subscribe when your "Add-on" doesn't even work in "Trial" mode or was it the "Default" was only intended to frustrate people into buying into a subscription. I clearly remember using this back in the old days. Now when the need for a new proxy ad don appeared, this was the first thing that came to my mind.

Great - fixed my proxy woes Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I don't know why I let it go on for months, but Firefox refused to use my saved proxy settings, even after disabling all add-ons, I did a "reset", I even reinstalled!! Strangely every single time I opened firefox I had to open the proxy settings page and then close it - then viola, it would magically work. But it's a pain to open proxy settings every time you start your browser!!

Along comes FoxyProxy Basic to the rescue. Took 5 seconds to configure and now firefox actually uses the proxy settings appropriately.

Quite good. Add a 'automatically use this proxy for all URLs when in private browsing mode' feature and I'll give 5 stars :)

Thanks for this suggestion! I've put it on our ToDo list.

One of the best Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Foxyproxy is the best addon in its category. Every time I need a fully capable proxy, I always come to use FoxyProxy. Thanks for the great tool.

I had been using the FoxyProxy Basic 3.1 flawlessly until my Firefox updated to version 17. Since then, I keep getting the "Exception while determining which host to use for proxying".

Mmmm... Could you open a thread in our forum (http://forums.getfoxyproxy.org) and provide further details (type of proxy settings etc.) in order to help us fixing your issue? Right now, I am not able to reproduce it. Or, if you don't want that, write an email to me (georg[@]getfoxyproxy[.]org (without the brackets)) and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks!

FUCKIN' SICK, BRO! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This shit is amazing. I was at my school because they block the internet, so I downloaded foxy proxy and then... I was on Facebook, I was on YouTube, I was blasting music out loud, and having a party. I was on Facebook talking to friends telling them to come to the library. All the ladies wanted to know my secrets, they all wanted me. I recommend this if you are at a place that blocks internet. THIS WILL HAPPEN.

But, no really. Foxy Proxy is a very good proxy and I recommend it for schools, public places, libraries, ect. All it takes is one simple install and if you don't like it all you have to do is get rid of it!

wow, thanks!

I don't think I could ask for a better review than this. Thanks!

Great! until..... Rated 3 out of 5 stars

It's a fine proxy-switcher.. until you need exceptions. Once you need to enter a proxy-exception you're screwed. I've searched and searched but it's just not there.. too bad, I would have given it 5 stars if it had this..

Issue found Rated 3 out of 5 stars

There is an issue.
When I enabled the add-on and open GMail in firefox(3.6), the add-on will lead to firefox no response. Maybe Google's problem, it's about javascript. When I disable the add-on and then open GMail, it's OK.

I installed the new version and configured it just like the screen shot. I tested it and DNS lookups are still performed locally and not through the proxy. That feature was the only reason I installed Foxyproxy.

Fixed in 1.4

Hi, please upgrade to version 1.4.
