Calendar Tweak not working with 52.2.1 and Lightning Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I installed the 'Calendar Tweaks' for folder event colors and it shows in the menu, but that's it. There is not way to access colors for the events.
This would be a nice to have feature to differentiate event/meeting types.

It doesn't work on Thunderbird 55.0b2 Rated 3 out of 5 stars

After applying the Thunderbird 55.0b2 update the Calendar in Montly and Multiweek view are no longer working. Disabling the Calendar Tweaks plugin all works again.

Very useful Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Thank you for making this excellent extension!

I have a suggestion to make it even better.
For remote calendars Lightning offers few options for calendar refreshing frequency (sync); it includes "every 30 minutes, 60 minutes or manual". Thunderbird freeze every time a calendar is syncing e such every 60 minutes frequency is totally unsuitable for most calendars, like holiday calendars, that hardly change.
Can you tweak to include additional refreshing options, like:
every 3 hours
every 6 hours
every 12 hours
once a day
every 2 days
once a week
every 2 weeks
once a months

The way to do it is shown here:

Really good addon but I still miss one important thing... Rated 4 out of 5 stars

First of all great addon. Add lots of functionality which is awesome. But I really need this one here: superuser.com/questions/21088/mozilla-sunbird-multi-day-event-looks-weird-in-calendar If this would be possible to add, I will give the full 5 stars. That would be amazing :)

Beyond the scope of Calendar Tweaks ...

Unfortunately, this feature is beyond the scope of the Calendar Tweaks add-on. This feature really needs to be added into the Lightning calendar add-on. The original feature request that you refer to was made in 2003, so the change is probably not easy to make.

Just what I wanted Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I moved to Thunderbird from MS Outlook and missed being able to colour event backgrounds by category rather than by which calendar they are in. Calendar colours looked rather flat by comparison and lacked reconfigurability. This add on addressed these items perfectly. Nice that you can still tell which calendar an event is in by the flash of colour at the right hand side. The repeat event icon is a good addition and very clear. An excellent add-on, thanks!

Week numbers ? Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Would be possible to add week numbers for Month and Multiweek calendar views ? There is a request for it https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=357012 but it probably won't happen soon since it is requested for 9 years :-) Thanks.

Excellent add-on. I've been using it almost since it first came out. Makes my calendar much easier to read. Since you can now specify the colour of 'Today' and of the 'selected day', I was wondering if there was any way it could be extended to select the background colour of all days in the current month and those days shown for beginning & end of other months. Just an idea..

Good idea

This is a good idea and will be considered for the next release of Calendar Tweaks.

For completeness, the backgrounds for all types of days would be made configurable:
- weekday this month background
- weekend this month background
- weekday other months background
- weekend other months background

Conflict between Calendar Tweaks and Australis Redesign TB Theme Rated 4 out of 5 stars

When using Calendar Tweaks in conjunction with complete theme 'Australis Redesign TB 31.7.5' the calendar tweaks colours for events are overided universally by the green colour applied by the theme, all events staying green. Is there a way around this problem?

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (6.1).

Unfortunately not ...

To resolve the conflicts between the Australis ReDesign theme and Calendar Tweaks would require too much effort to make it worthwhile.

"Would you only want the Today colors to take priority in the Day View, not in the Week/Month/Multi-Week Views ?"
May be Today only? Because user`s mistake with "Today-DayView mix" in Week/Month/Multi-Week Views is unlikely, as I think...

Great news! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

A big thank you to the developer, v6.0 is now working great in TB 31 and Lightning 3.3.
A few useful extras have been added, as well.

I have been using CT for a long time with satisfaction and I'm also its Italian translator.
Like the previous reviewer I also noticed that this addon was broken by TB 31.0 In particular I have 6 calendars (all of them being on Google) and I saw some events were skipped in the Today Panel. At the moment I noticed this on a calendar made only of annual recurring events (birthdays), Some of them were reported, others not.
By deactivatng Calendar Tweaks everything went back ok. I suppose the oroblem could be due to a different manageing of colors which caauses something to disappear, The same happened with the addons ContactTabs which was immediately updated by its author,

Fixed in Version 6.0

Calendar Tweaks 6.0 has been released and fixes these problems.

Calendar Tweaks 6.0 is fully compatible with Thunderbird 31.0 and some minor compatibility issues with Thunderbird 24.0.* have been fixed.

Calendar Tweaks 6.0 has two new tweaks (options), both aimed at saving space in the Month/Multiweek Views and the Today Pane:

- Show time and event on single line if no date (Today Pane)

- Reduce height of events (Month/Multiweek Views) (Today Pane)

Merci ! Thank you !

Good add-on, but I echo some other people in saying it would be great to be able to customise colours - in particular, the colour of "today" in month or multi-week views. The pink that this addon changes it to is slightly better than Lightning's default yellow, but it's still hard to see unless you search...

Version 5.0 allows customization of colors

Calendar Tweaks 5.0 allows user customization of 'Today' and 'Selected Day' colors (header background color, day box background color, and border color).

When displaying an event that lasts for multiple days, I would like to see it running accross the days rather than repeating it for each day! Please add this!
