Why was Provider for Google Calendar created?
Back in the days, I was using Firefox and Thunderbird, I really liked Mozilla products. I eventually looked for a calendaring solution and found Sunbird. This was version 0.2 and I wasn't too impressed. I used it for a short while and gave up again, until I read an article on Slashdot, that there was a testday for Calendar with prizes (yes, this always helps ;-)
So I started testing and actually ended up with a prize. So I was thinking what I could do next, I tried to set up Lightning with Google. Since this wasn't possible, I thought this would be the best thing to start development with. And there this extension was born.
What's next for Provider for Google Calendar
Most of the basic features are covered, the current development version also includes multiple alarm and SMS alarm support. Next up are more advanced features like comments, manipulating server side settings, acls. Also, the extension needs to update to the API version 2.
