Why was Find in Page created?
The web pages can be long. Fastest Scroll in the West allows you to scroll them, but how can you spot the word you look for? And there is still no built-in find in Fennec. That's why I created this extension to highlight all the words you look for.
It can look for a particular phrase, like "find in page", or for all the words of the phrase separately, like "find|in|page".
It has lots of options: highlight colour, match case, clear old search before new. In case you have already selected on page the word or phrase you want to highlight there is an option of looking for selection.
What's next for Find in Page
I would like to receive user feedback in order to know what featured should be added. Should the page be automatically scrolled to the first instance found? Should a pop-up appear saying how much times do the words appear on the page? Should clicking on one highlight lead to the next highlight? I'm afraid to add a new feature which could be redundant and take time to execute.
