Webmail Ad Blocker

Not Working on Outlook.com Rated 1 out of 5 stars

As of yesterday this add on no longer works on outlook.live.com/owa. The problem is the ad space to the right of the page is present, taking away from the space for emails.

Update: Promptly sent the developer several screenshots of the issue, including screenshots using the inspector feature of Firefox and got no resolution. Developer suggested that I give him access to my Outlook account so he could investigate the problem further. RIGHT!!!!!

Outlook Web App ( + Reminders)

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Works good. I searched for a couple days after Microsoft migrated my Hotmail account to OWA. X-notifier and Tab Notifier stopped working as a result of the migration. This add on gets the job done. I would be great if there was an option to add audio to the notifications, preferably a user selectable sound. The appearance of the tab icon could also use a little improvement. In short, a good add on but could be better.

Outlook Web App Notifications

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

This add on works! After Microsoft migrated my Hotmail account to OWA, Tab Notifier and X-notifier both stopped working. I tried Outlook Notifier and found it did not work with OWA either. It would be awesome if this add on could be easily configured to check only the inbox. My css skills are lacking. As it stands it checks drafts and deleted items too. So every time I reply, Outlook autosaves a draft and I get an instant notification. It would be great if it had an option to play a sound (preferably user selectable) along with the visual notification. That would be a big help for times at which I have stepped away from my computer, but can still hear it.

Thanks for the prompt response. My OWA version is ver=16.0.761.19. From what I gather, Microsoft is migrating all of their web mail accounts to OWA. I just got "lucky" and was migrated early in the process. There will likely be a lot more people looking for a good notification solution in the near future.

Outlook Notifier

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Does not work. It always says I am not logged in. When I click the button, it takes me to my Outlook.com inbox where I am logged on. The toolbar icon continues to say I am not logged in. I tried this add-on because Microsoft's changes to Outlook.com yesterday caused both X-notifier and Tab notifier to stop working for Hotmail. There has got to be a solution!

Tab notifier

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

It does what it is supposed to. I was using it for Hotmail notifications. Unfortunately, on June 5, 2015 Microsoft did a major update of outlook.live.com. Tab titles no longer change when you have an unread email. Therefore Tab Notifier no longer works for Hotmail., Live.com., Outlook.com. I was also use X-notifier. Microsoft's changes to the website broke that too. It looks like I am out of luck for the time being and will have to check for new emails the old fashioned way, by going to my inbox.

X-notifier (for Gmail,Hotmail,Yahoo,AOL ...)

Not working on hotmail.com, outlook.com, msn.com, live.com Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Today, June 5, 2015, Microsoft migrated my Hotmail account to outlook.live.com/owa. After this migration X-notifier no longer checks the account. The password and user ID remain the same. From what I gather, Microsoft is in the process of migrating all of their email subscribers to OWA and will have everyone migrated within a few months. Developer, please update this plugin to work with OWA. Until today it was working great and extremely useful. As of now I am using a lesser plugin that has no sound notification, but it is compatible with OWA.

Thanks

Update: As of August 11 it is working for Outlook again. Good job!

Tabs On Bottom

Not working with FF 29.0.1 Rated 1 out of 5 stars

When I applied this add-on the tabs were partially hidden behind webpages. Only the tops of tabs were visible.

BlackFox V2-Blue

Problem using with GoogleSharing Plugin Rated 4 out of 5 stars

With the GoogleSharing plugin, under options there is a check mark to indicate whether each proxy server is enabled or not. When using BlackFox the check marks are black and the background is black as well. This effectively renders the check marks invisible. I therefore have to change Firefox back to the default theme whenever I want to check my GoogleSharing proxy status. BlackFox correctly changes all of the text, such as host name and port to white on a black background. Only the check mark is incorrectly displayed as black on a black background.

I would greatly appreciate it if this could be corrected in the next update.

Thanks

Compatibility FF 14.0.1 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I tried installing v0.6.4 from http://firefox.shayconcepts.com/ as you suggested. Firefox will not let it install. I get a message that it could not be installed because it is not compatible. I tried both auto and manual installs and neither worked. This is my favorite theme. It is the best looking theme I have found for FF, and I have looked at many. So I will check again in a few days to see if it is working. Until then I will have to settle for Lavafox.

When is this going to be updated to be compatible with 14.0.1?

Compatibility Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Good addon, but it is not currently compatible with the current version of Firefox, 7.0.1. This shortcoming significantly diminishes its value.
