Informational Tab

Love the shiny progress bar for tabs! Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I love the look of the progress bar for the tabs! However, sometimes I get two overlapping progress bars: one that reaches from the left side of the tab bar to the selected tab, and one where within the tab (where it should be). Also, occasionally, a tab with Gmail in it shows as always loading.

Great work!

Ctrl-Tab

Functionality Changed, then Obsoleted Rated 4 out of 5 stars

As gshumway said, the behavior of this add-on changed between Firefox 3.0 and 3.5 with no explanation. However, as many other users have commented on or requested, this add-on's functionality has been built-in Firefox 3.6! Currently (3.6b4), the functionality is disabled by default, so you have to enable it in about:config. Change browser.ctrlTab.previews to TRUE to enable the Control+Tab functionality, and change browser.allTabs.previews to TRUE to change the "List All Tabs" button to show an "All Tabs panel".

Great add-on! It was ahead of the core functionality, and now it's been incorporated!

Next Tab

FANTASTIC functionality Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This extension is simple: it promises to do one thing, and it does it. Being a user who opens massive amounts of tabs, this add-on comes in handy once "Open Link in New Tab" begins opening tabs too far away. Still not sure why this functionality hasn't been added to Firefox by default, but so long as I can add the functionality through the add-on, I guess I don't mind.

My only problem with the add-on is that it's not officially ready for use with Firefox 3.5 yet.

UPDATE (12/13/2009): Firefox 3.6b4 opens new tabs immediately to the right of the active tab by default. Will there be another add-on for Firefox 3.6+ that gives the option to "Open Link in New Tab at the end of the tab row"?

Tab Counter

Well written add-on, but could use improvement Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I originally thought that this add-on wasn't working, because I didn't see the tab count to the left of the address bar as shown in the first image. Then I found the counter in the upper right, and I thought that this was just another add-on that only counted tabs in the current window. Finally, I opened the Options dialog box and read about the %c and %n options and the customizable CSS. Finding these options makes it so much more than just another tab counting add-on. My suggestions for improvement would be:
1) Update the Long Description and Images for the add-on to reflect the current default behaviors.
2) Include the customization information in the Long Description or somewhere else.
3) Add an option to display total number of tabs across all windows.
4) Add an option to display total number of windows.
5) Add an option to display the current window.
I'm glad I looked closer at this add-on, or I would have just uninstalled it. Keep up the good work!
