This is a necessary extension, IMO, and update 1.5.1 fixed the problem with EscCloseTab compatibility. Outstanding. This user has a previous review of this add-on.
The update to version 1.5.0 stopped EscCloseTab from working so I had to revert to version 1.4.10. Other than that, I think it's a great extension.
Thank you for the fix. It rates a five.
I think this is one of the best extensions there is. I rely on it a lot. Unfortunately, it quit working when FF was updated about two updates back.
I have FF 27.0.1 on Kubuntu distro of Linux.
I went to the website and studied the code there, but can find nothing wrong (I am not an expert). Hopefully the problem will be fixed soon because I miss using the escape key to close a tab. Until it's fixed I guess I'll just have to use the mouse or touchpad to click the tab close x on the tab (sigh).
It was definitely a five when it was working.
I failed to mention before that I had the problem on Windows 7 & XP, also.
But I found the problem, it was the Active Stop Button extension update to version 1.5.0.
Simple fix is to revert to Active Stop Button 1.4.10, or stop using one or the other.
Although it works good as installed, it really messed things up when I changed it to the gradient version. I guess it is not totally compatible with FF26.0 on Kubuntu after all. This user has a previous review of this add-on.
This is compatible with FF 26.0 on Kubuntu 13.10.
The text for Extended Statusbar and Forecastfox is still black which makes them very hard to read. But that is the only issue I see that might be a problem.
I think this is a great add-on. Need it for Thunderbird, too.
Works exactly as claimed. Perfectly.
The claim that knowledge of html and css is not necessary to use this is just plain incorrect. I know a little about both, not an expert -- only a little knowledge -- more than none, and I totally messed up a web site display. Had to disable not only this but Stylish as well, restart, enable Stylish, restart. Unless you have more than a little knowledge of CSS and html I suggest you leave this alone.
If you want to have a dark background with light text I suggest using Color Toggle. I use it and it works, I was looking for something a little better, this is not it.
Great extension. Still waiting for the tab grouping function, though.
For those of you wanting to autohide vertical tabs try this extension https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/hide-tabbar/
it works great.
A restart of Thunderbird makes the fault I mentioned before go away. So it works without flaws if a new subfolder is created, then TB is restarted before trying to use QuickFilters to drag message into the new subfolder of a QuickFolder tab.
I know it's made to drag into the folders pane of TB instead of the tabs of QuickFolders, but it works both ways.
Thanks for great add-on.
Just downloaded it a couple of hours ago. It is working almost perfectly. The only fault I see is when new subfolders are created they don't appear as subfolders in quickfolders when trying to drag message into them. Have to drag them into the Thunderbird folder pane. Don't know if the problem is with quickfilters or quickfolders since quickfolders has had a few updates since the last time I dragged messages into newly created folders.
Small fault only - Love the extension.
I love this addon. Just one small problem. The search box has the top half cut off and the last addon in the list has the bottom half cutoff. It's still useable like this but makes it a little more difficult to use the search function or select the bottom addon in the list. I would give it five stars except for this small problem. I am using FF 11.0This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.5). This user has a previous review of this add-on.
I found the problem I was having. It had nothing to do with this theme. My problem was that I set a minimum size for the font. Even though I still had the box checked for websites to use their own fonts it still messed up the display of some pages. I am sorry I accused this theme of being the problem. Hearing that no one else had reported the problem got me to checking further and solving it. Thank you for replying.
Also, the problem I was having with the display of the Add-ons Manager turned out to be caused by Cleanest Addon Manager 1.5, which is a great addon except for this small problem.
I like this theme. But with each update of FF the webpage format seems to get more and more messed up. It finally got so bad that it is almost unreadable. In my attempts to find the problem I discovered that most of it cleared up when I changed from this theme. I don't know why but it fixed it so I can't use this one anymore. Maybe it's just interreaction with other addons but I turned them all off and still had the problem. Changing from this theme is the only solution I can find. I hope someone that knows more than me about it can fix it so I can resume using it.
Update: I think the problem is being caused by something other than this theme. Some pages are still messed up, just not as badly. eBay listings in grid mode were badly messed up and still are with other theme but not as badly. The addons tab itself used to have half of the search bar and half of the last addon listed cut off, with other theme it displays correctly. The pages at instructables.com are still not displaying correctly. I think the ones that improved was just because of some interaction between this theme and something else. So far it is looking like a FF problem. I don't see this problem with IE, but I don't like IE so I only use it when absolutely necessary. Maybe I'll figure out where the problem lies when I find the time to go through all the addons I use more thoroughly.
Apparently, I was in too much of a hurry to place blame before.
It works for me in FF 11.0. Thanks for this. Although the hot key doesn't work. As configured - Ctrl/Shift/u - it simply reloads the page. Reconfigured it does nothing. Clicking on the CT button is the only way to make it work. I would also like to put the button somewhere else, would that be possible? This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.13).
Froze Firefox. Doesn't work. I am using Firefox 11.0.
I like the affect it has on the toolbar color, using Nuvola theme, it makes for a better visual separation of the toolbars/tab bar. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (220.127.116.11). This user has a previous review of this add-on.
Thank you. This did affect the color of my toolbar (I use Nuvola theme), but it just makes for a better separation of the toolbars/tab bar. I was hoping someone would make an addon for this. You did it a lot faster than I expected it would be done. Thanks again. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (18.104.22.168).
Just downloaded and checked to see exactly what it does. Works great. I do wish there was a way to multiple copy from outside the browser, i.e. word processor, password software, etc., to paste into the browser, but that is probably beyond the scope of a browser addon. Thanks for this.
May I suggest adding some options, like different settings for individual sites. Just the option to not run on individual sites would be enough. I like the automatic mode but on some sites it whitens light gray text when the background is white and blackens text when the background is black. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.4.7). Excellent. Does exactly what I wanted.
