it needs is to close upon pressing the Esc key and it also needs to NOT close by itself once a download is completed (should be an option...);;;
EDIT: author fixed both issues, thanks & great work!;;;
NEW EDIT :one more improvement, that would finally restore the original functionality of the download window, would be for the last item in the list to be automatically selected when thewindow is opened (Ctrl+J); this way, pressing Enter will open that last item, and the arrow keys will work to navigate between items. Thanks!
EDITED REVIEW: this add-in now works perfectly, thanks to the author's receptivity to user feedback. Thanks Anton!This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.8.2). This user has 2 previous reviews of this add-on.
Very useful add-on which adds a column for number of citations that a paper has had till the present moment. The column is called "Call number", for some reason, however the real problem with this add-on (which the author is aware of, however seems to not act upon) is that, after a while of firefox being opened, the "Update number of citations" command no longer works, and firefox needs to be restarted. I know the authors has said that he needs more information to fix this, however the description above is really all that can be said.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.7). After being let down by most other reference management packages (most notably EndNote!), I discovered Zotero, and haven't had to search for another package, because it has everything that I need, and does it reliably and intuitively. Zotero is supported by a *very* dynamic and fast-responding forum, where your questions will be answered in a matter of hours (sometimes minutes) by what I assume are volunteers and programming enthusiasts.
In the world of software in a general sense, Zotero is up there with the likes of e.g. Photoshop and Matlab in terms of being (in my opinion) one of the most efficient and stable (despite being complex) software ever written.
No hesitation to give it 5.0 stars.
This add-on works at a basic level but is unfortunately full of bugs, probably programmed in a rush without any bother to come back and fix the more blatant bugs.
Even though the "include timestamp in file name" checkbox is ticked, the default name of any captured file only has a meaningless number in it such as 1309962996371 - the time may be encoded in there in some form of another, but really Andy M, don't you think it would have been a good idea to make the formatting a bit more clear?
Since you have a ScreenGrab option in the right-click menu, there is no point to having the add-on's icon appear in the status bar, and unfortunately there is no option to control that.
Image files get created without an extension, regardless of whether the PNG or the JPG option is selected in the Options.
The major bug present in this add-on still hasn't been fixed, even though it was pointed out more than four months ago. The add-on is practically unusable, as one cannot constantly restart Firefox just to work around this bug.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.3).
Very useful, thank you. Too bad the developers of Firefox (and of most other software actually) always have to take out a few obviously-useful features from new versions, in addition to creating new ones. No idea why they compulsively keep doing that, but luckily some kind soul finds the time to write add-ons like this one, which bring the old functionality back (as if there was EVER a reason to remove it in the first place!)This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2011.04.06.18).
Bugs still not fixed, but this addon is still priceless for those of us who are easily temptableThis review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.5.2). This user has a previous review of this add-on.
Although having this functionality in Zotero would be great, this particular addon doesn't really achieve the desired functionality, at least under Windows. When the preview opens after you open space, you cannot then use the up/down arrows to scroll to the next/previous paper, as you would expect. Also, the preview window is totally unresponsive to any mouse commands. It actually takes less time to manually open each attachment than to use this addon.
I hope these comments will also help the developer fix the bug. The preview would ideally be in a pane that's always visible rather than the user having to press a key for it. I would take Papers (Mac) as a model for preview functionality.
Does what it says nicely, thanks to the authorThis review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.8).
This promised to be a very useful add-on, unfortunately, upon choosing the option Close Duplicate Tabs, none of the open tabs that were duplicates (same URL) were closed. The author should really test before releasing.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.8.0).
Great add-on: does what it's supposed to do, discreet and easy to use.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (22.214.171.124).
Very useful add-on, but please, since you took the time to write it and got us hooked on watching videos in HQ all the time, also take a bit more time to make it compatible with the latest version of Firefox!
Took me more time to get this to work then it would have taken me to actually visit those time-wasting sites.
The interface is supposed to be simple but it simply doesn't work the way it should. Set blocking time to always and yet the counter doesn't even appear in the status bar.
This add-on turned out to be the real time-waster.
Very useful add-on. Has one minor (although quite annoying) bug which perhaps the developers can have a look at - when you click on a result in the lower part of the screen, you are not always taken to the correct location in the upper part of the screen (in the webpage), and you have to locate the search phrase yourself.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.4.0.2).
Good idea for an add-on, however, most of the times when you go into the Autoformer menu for a form that you've completed and saved before, you only have the Save commands available, while the Load commands are grayed out.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.4).
Forecastfox is a great little add-on, it used to be my favourite until I finally realised it's completely useless to me, since time and time again, Accuweather's data has been comically out of touch with reality, even for the current conditions, let alone 3-day forecasts.
I'll be glad to reinstall Forecastfox as soon as they switch to a source that does a better job at weather forecasting than me sticking my head out the window and looking at the sky... :/
