My Reviews

Office Black

A dark theme that's practical for once! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Clean and simple, and a refreshing practicality that I can never find with dark themes. There's this weird phenomenon where devs seem compelled to make darker themes "cool" by adding lots of bells n whistles that take away from the functionality.

It's a dark theme, not a halloween/punkrock/brooding theme. Thanks, Office Black.

FireGestures

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I have been using this for years. FireGestures is so essential to how I browse now that encountering a browser without this add-on installed is comparable to using a browser without... I don't know... tabs!

Integrated Google Calendar

Exactly what I wanted Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is perfect, simple, intuitive and a seamless addition to firefox. After using this for several days you'll forget that it's actually an add on.

I would like to see an easier way of changing the dimensions of the pop calendar, but the add on is perfect nonetheless.

Foxy URL

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

This is a handy add-on but it has the potential to be so much more convenient. Shortening the url should not have to open a new window or tab. If either the url shortened automatically in the address bar or simply was copied to the clipboard, foxy and I would get along so much better.

Element Hiding Helper for Adblock Plus

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

This comes in handy and all, but it's very tedious to block stuff. There should be a very quick command. yes, you can hit control k d whatever, but I mean you should just be able to hold down control enter, whatever, then click on everything you want to block, not to go to some sub-menu, and be asked what exactly your blocking.

Hold this, hold that, then click everything you want to block: That's what this needs.

Flagfox

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Really, just ask yourself, why not have it? It's out of the way, all the way in the bottom right corner, and it useful for getting ip's.

Why not have it? Is the only thing you need to ask yourself. One of those add ons that you sometimes forget didn't come with the browser off the bat.

FireGestures

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Straight outta Black and White (I think), FireGestures is great! You can program as many as you want to do whatever you want, but the ones that come most in handy are: opening windows, closing windows, opening tabs, closing tabs, going back, going forward, reloading pages... ect.

Another handy feature, you can program hotkeys to your mouse. For intance, hold right click then click left click to switch through tabs.

Also, you can sorta draw pictures on your web browser.

the only difficulty with this is that it can sometimes have difficulty recognizing some more complex commands. Like if I want to add a page to my favorites, I draw a star, makes sense, but it doesn't always recognize it the first time, so you'll have to draw it once, twice, maybe three times, then you start to wonder if it would've just been faster to hit the Control+D.

All in all, wonderful add on.

Next Tab

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Even if you don't tab that often, it's a handy thing to have, and it integrates so well that you hardly remember that it wasn't there to begin with.

My only complaint is that there isn't a hotkey for it. For instance, to open a tab, you hit the middle mouse button. To open Next Tab, you must right click, then hit "next to."
