HeadlinesTicker by Noy Shimotsuki (LLLuna)

Rated 4 out of 5 stars 34 reviews

509 users

Show RSS/Atom headlines on toolbar.
Collector's Note The best RSS reader available on Firefox. Very custimisable. Can subscribe to RSS feeds from any website(s) and scroll display them at a fixed interval. I keep the ticker on my bookmarks bar. From time to time, my eyes wander towards the scrolling ticker and I open a webpage to read if the headline engages my interest. All the other RSS ticker addons are bloaty and fuck-up your RAM pretty badly; Headlines ticker behaves a lot better than those.

Collector's Note Sync your open tabs with another computer using this addon. X-Marks can do this too, but the advantage of TabCloud is - It can save multiple browsing sessions, so you can restore different sessions on different computers as you need. X-Marks merely stores the tabs that are open at the time of syncing and overwrites those tabs when you sync once again.

Leading dictionary lookup add-on. Fast, light, open source tool that define words for you without need to open new tabs or windows. Wiktionary&Wikipedia.

Ctrl or Shift or Alt + RightMouseButton click. Now with thesaurus.

70+ languages supported!
Collector's Note If you use Wikipedia a lot, this addon will enhance your experience and increase your productivity. Just hovering on any wikipedia link within wikipedia will show you a summary of the page behind that link. You could also use Interclue or Cool Previews to do the same though. If you want to see the definition of a word quickly(whether on wikipedia or on anyother page), just Ctrl+RClick the word and you will be shown a tiny popup definition of the word from wiktionary. The addon "Wiktionary and Google Translate" can do the same wiktionary popup thing, plus it can be used for word translations too. However, its popup is ugly and method of activation(selecting or double clicking a word for popup) may interfere with your other functions. I personally use WikiLook+Interclue as a combination/
