New Update sucks! Rated 2 out of 5 stars

First off using this w/Firefox Personas is showing grey..ish background color instead of Persona background color (before today's update this did not happen but is now since crappy update)! Also I do not need to see "YAHOO! (plus search bar on toolbar when I i have Google search already on Firefox)"! Why are icons so big and spaced out? I don't like that either at all! Also after reporting this MANY times for MANY YEARS..I still have to refresh toolbar AFTER I get my new Yahoo Mail and red number icons still shows after I get my new Yahoo Mail! After YEARS of using Yahoo Toolbar I am SERIOUSLY thinking of uninstalling this and using another method! This toolbar is getting worse every time! :(

Yahoo Toolbar uses too much memory on my Mozilla Like seriously. I've been using the toolbar for two years but I didn't notice the difference in memory use until I uninstalled it and looked at the windows taskbar manager to see around 800k in memory use difference between my in-use and not-using sessions. I liked the new look and the overall functions though

Contemptibly dreadful.
Why has a new version been released that is worse in every way? The toolbar buttons are too big and have large spaces between them wasting precious frame space. And every time I close Firefox and reopen it infuriatingly deletes all of my buttons and replaces it with Yahoo's default buttons. I intentionally registered with mozilla just to voice my utter disgust at this new toolbar. Yahoo and mozilla have to get their act together because the market's too full for people to tolerate junk like this.

Used to Work Great but Now Freezes Firefox Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I had to remove this add-on last night. I've used it for years and love it, but last night Firefox would not fully load with the toolbar enabled. I've tried to add it again today, but it still won't work. It was fine earlier yesterday. I think I was using an older version until I removed and reinstalled last night, so it's not just the current version.

Is there anyway to make the Facebook button take me to the website instead of a drop-drown menu?

Problem with Icon Shortcuts on Yahoo Toolbar Rated 4 out of 5 stars

When I reinstalled the Yahoo Toolbar, I ended up with a whole row of "null" blank boxes as icons on the toolbar. I can't get rid of them because when I go to Edit the apps, the websites can't be found...because they don't exist; therefore, they will not load up. Does anyone out there know how to get rid of them? I added this app through Moxilla Firefox's Add-on feature.

If I can get rid of this one problem then Yahoo Toolbar would literally be 5 Star. I love having my personal favorite icons right where I can see them....but now I have a problem and don't know why.

I had previously uploaded then uninstalled the Yahoo for Firefox 28 all installed as one unit, but the icon apps didn't work properly. I was unable to delete the ones I don't use and unable to save all my favorites. Everytime I exited and went online again they were all set back to Yahoo's original settings. So, needless to say, after working all morning on it. I deleted it. Reinstalled just Mozilla Firefox 28 by itself, then went into the apps to load up...this is where I'm now encountering the blank icon's all along the toolbar that I can't get rid of.

My gosh, am I in a complete state of relief and celebratory success at this moment! Why, you may all ask? Bc after waking up several days ago, to find that "something" had updated itself whilst I slept (ok, it was Colorful Tabs that was the culprit, but since I like them I cannot chastise too much, but that update really screwed things up for me!), and I awoke to find I no longer had my Yahoo Toolbar. Ohdeargod, NOOOO!!! You see, I am a "wheelchair person", meaning that I am wheelchair and housebound so my pc is my only window to the world, literally. Now, where my Yahoo Toolbar comes in is that out of all the toolbars I have tried and uninstalled over the years, nothing, and I do mean not a single one of them even comes close to providing the convenience, reliability and user options that YT has. I have a lot of buttons. My buttons are my one click ride to my next destination, like the banks, my forums, movies, checking up on my adult children's activities on FB without their knowledge, among many other things that are important, to me, at least. Only YT, and I have compared many others, gives me any button I wish, even if it's not a Yahoo subsidiary or Yahoo/Google related at all. I can make buttons to my own favorite places that I visit often, which is in and of itself, something I value highly, far and above anything else any other toolbar (including Yahoo's other versions) has to offer. I'm in no way a super techie, however, I have discovered that I can and do learn pc tech rather quickly and enjoyably if it's put to me in the right way, and YT does this beautifully. The making and arraigning of my own buttons, and adding them to the plethora of Yahoo's buttons already done for you, is simple, easy and quick. If I can do it without ripping out all of my hair, anyone can. Oh wait, I must retrieve that remark, due to some other reviewers remarks that I've read here. I believe that the term "the tech illiterate" or something very similar, was used by a reviewer and did, indeed cause me to laugh. Ty. I needed that:) The example, I believe, was where one reviewer complained about "not being able to download where I want to". Are you kidding me? Oh, and another that complains of having to go all the way up there to FF's Bookmarks and CLICK HIS MOUSE, to get the dropdown menu. He made it sound like he's being forced to bench press a Cadillac, for God's sake!. I do it all the time, and I'm disabled, and believe me, there are a LOT more things worthy of bitching about in life, than taking up time and space with complaints like this. I give Yahoo Toolbar 5 big stars, for it's convenience, it's ability to let me rearrange buttons easily, whenever, wherever I like, for allowing me to make my own personal buttons for sites I go to often enough to want a button to get there, being easy to hide via "view">Toolbars>unmarking Yahoo, and getting it back by doing the same, by simply clicking on it again. And for the person who said " it's nearly impossible to get rid of", I beg to differ. It's so simple a chimpanzee could, and probably has, done it, but I'm not going to tell you now bc instead of asking nicely "would someone here know how to do this?", you acted like a 6th grader and whined about it, making like it's a big issue or something of consequence, which, it is not, btw. Many, many thanks, for giving me back my most favored, easy way to get around my web. I could not be more pleased, and will continue using YT until I am dead (and perhaps even after that, I like it so much). A simple, indispensable toolbar that does exactly what I need it to do, to make my life a whole lot easier. Thank you.

Bookmarks suck! Rated 1 out of 5 stars

My favorite think about the Yahoo toolbar was the bookmark dropdown. I could access all my bookmarks without even using the mouse. Now I have to use the mouse, and it is much slower to access. Is there anyway you can fix this and put it back up top under yahoo/bookmarks/....and then allow me to drilldown from there instead of opening a whole new window where I have to use my mouse. This is absolutely awful. The worst update I've ever installed.

Yahoo! still looks like a dying company Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Is Marissa Mayer purposefully trying to make Yahoo! Toolbar worse? This new version under Firefox now no longer has an icon button for Mail (no button for Mail???) and the icon button for Notepad and for Calendar are identical (= the old Notepad button). The buttons are bigger, for whatever that's worth.

Not sure what the intent is in terms of wrangling our eyeballs to where Yahoo! now wants us to go. At some point they'll lose us old users (me since 1996) but I'm guessing we're not whatever demographic they're going after these days. Just pathetic.

Will be switching email providers Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I used yahoo toolbar for years til this updateI do NOT like the new "look" and hate the icons such as the one for youtube- is now just a red box with a white arrow going right direction in it.

What was wrong with the old one that said youtube and looked like youtube?????
And this toolbar....off the phone with a yahoo "customer service person" who could not help but was very nice- I lost about 30 custom app buttons I had on the toolbar and have done research online about this and there many others (you can see this as an example on the yahoo answers as this is happening for others as well)

This all happened after their latest updating to the "new & improved", won't say what rather put in here as involves cuss words.

I will be transferring my bookmarks and all else- will take long time as I have had account for many years but will get it done little at a time (as far as bookmarks- I have literally hundreds of bookmarks from over the years and I do use them plus yahoo folders and such- all need get to new email provider as this is the last straw and I am fed up.

Have waited as is daunting to movie everything over but I am so fed up
Have done new custom apps for now only to still have them not save (never any trouble before) and this is in multiple browsers and uninstalling and installing many earlier version of the toolbar- also uninstalled and re-installed browsers to rule that out.

All same result. Is not my browser settings- just so is ruled out And the "Visicom Coupons" app in the toolbar will NOT delete no matter what I do and I am fed up with all of this

Yahoo has slowly been becoming and is now become what I call "Corporate" or 'Big Company" and I shy away quick from that in anything I do, buy, ect. and have a gem of a much lessor know provider to go to (I refuse gmail, msn, aol and the other "Big Company / Corporate" ) but I have a choice and chose to not participate in this any longer due to not wanting to move all the yahoo settings

May edit and add more but wanted to say what I said and thank you for reading and not meaning offend anyone who swears by this toolbar nor the developer which I suspect is a Big Company of ppl by now as far as yahoo

To you, the reader- Have a wonderful day ♥

How can the toolbar update make the most recent version of Firefox hang completely? Was it tested or not? Like so many others, I've used and liked toolbar for years, and now I don't know how I'd find out it was fixed other than to go through installation and safe mode uninstall again.

Yep, been using the Yahoo Toolbar with Firefox for years, but this last update from August 20 doesn't work, had to remove it from the two computers that I had it installed on. So, no testing at all was done, before pushing this update out huh?
The thing Yahoo better realize is, those of us who still use their toolbar were really just doing it out of habit, but now that they broke it and I removed it from my computers...

I had the same problem as dragonsNfoxes. After the update to Yahoo toolbar today, firefox would freeze and crash as soon as I opened the program. I'm grateful for the previous user's suggestion to restart in safe mode in order to remove the toolbar because I wasn't sure what else to do. It's pretty disappointing since I've never had any complaints about the toolbar, but I won't be installing it again.

Firefox updated several days ago. This morning the yahoo toolbar did an update. Firefox would crash before it could load anything and had to be loaded in safe mode in order to turn off the tool bar. Until this update, the toolbar had been reliable and given me no issue either through its updates or Firefox's.
