Good Add-On! Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I didn't know an add-on like this existed.
In Firefox 38.0.1 all is working well for me.
It's very usefull, because I use an old laptop with little CPU and memory. This add-on helps me to keep the system run smoothly.

This works perfectly for me in Firefox 37.0.2 on OS X 10.10.3. I have had absolutely no problems so far.

I love this extension. I originally got it for its primary purpose, unloading loaded tabs, which it does easily and well. It also has the advantage of helping prevent me from accidentally loading an unloaded tab as Firefox will often do by default.

On MacOSX (FF 37.0.2) it does nothing, unfortunately. I used to use this in Windows where I remember it worked.

Perfect Addon

Well done ! But what about adding a button to add new sites ? Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Well done !
If I may say so...
But however a suggestion : what about adding a button that would help to add a new site ?
Until now, we always have to open Firefox's about:addons to add a new site...
Not a really practical and fast way to do it ! :-)
The fitfth * would come as soon as this button would exist !

NB I yet didn't check if it really saves resources... as complained by a former reviewer...

It do works. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

At linux, at least. I'm using Firefox 36 with Ubuntu and the memory usage falls some 2 to 4 seconds after I unload a tab.

Does not work in FF36 - it unloads tabs, but no memory is released.

For tabitis-ill people like myself this is a great medicine.

No longer works in FF 35 Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Used to work fairly well but now does nothing. No memory is released at all. Please test with FF 35 ! Thank you.

I love this extension. It really helps with high loads in Firefox. However, I have found out that it leaks a lot of memory. If you open about:memory and hit "minimize memory usage" I can often release more than 1GB from Firefox. I wish the developer would consider to hit the MemoryReporterManager sometimes and force a GC, because that would free tons of memory.

html video exit fullscreen when a tab is unloaded. can this be avoided?

Love this addon! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Any addon that can take my running FireFox from using almost 3Gb of ram to a little over 1Gb of ram at any given time is a HUGE win in my book!

Ubuntu Firefox 35, works good! Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This is great for managing workflow. The unload other tabs button is fantastic for freeing up resources without restarting firefox.

I find that the auto unload feature can sometimes cause a momentary focus shift, and will do things such as cancel full screen on a youtube video. I just disable that feature so it doesn't really affect me.

The only thing that would make this better is if it had support in panorama. That would allow entire sets of tabs to be loaded and unloaded for even better workflow management!

Works on Lubuntu with FF 34.0 but not on Linux Mint with FF 34.0 Rated 3 out of 5 stars
