JHC finally found a theme that is mostly compatible with FF26+ that gets rid of the Aero / transparent effect inside the browser window. I can finally see the buttons and menu text now. Thank you!

Love this theme! And I was soooo glad to find it was compatible with 12 when I accidently let FF upgrade itself. (oops. argh.) The only tiny complaint I have is that, at least in 12, there's no break between the menu bar and navigation bar, which looks funny. But as issues go, that's so minor. Such a relief to have a not-hideous theme back.

Great theme! As a designer (other sorts, not FF themes) - having a GRAY theme instead of sky blue is vital for me to work on color balancing. Colored icons are no problem for me, but a tinted GUI is a BIG problem. There are plenty of gray themes, but many have "mystery meat" icons. I was beginning to think I wouldn't be able to find a good classic light gray theme with "normal" looking icons. I'm using FF10.0 and everything works perfectly. 1000 thanks!!

Used to work perfectly, now horribly broken! Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Used to work perfectly, now horribly broken!
Everything appears transparent. Please fix this theme!

Now incompatible to FF3.x Rated 2 out of 5 stars

In fact version 3.3 is not longer compatible with Firefox 3.6.x:
Makes context-menus transparent and nearly unreadable. Some symbols have vanished, e.g. the complete symbol bar in the add-on-Manager!
Please fix it or change the compatibility note.

Firefox nags permanently offering this "update", two times it had been installed by accident and I had to restore the good old 3.2-version from backup.
3.2 worked fine, no need for such an update for people not using one of Firefox's inflationary "rabbit releases".

Bug in v. 3.3 for Linux and FF 3.6.23 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Last version (3.3) on Linux and Firefox 3.6.23 displays transparent pop-up menu when I click right mouse button on the page. Version 3.2 is OK.

Great work... Rated 5 out of 5 stars

A perfect mix of two themes that don't quite work on their own.

This theme was a godsend for Firefox 3.0, so I'm glad to see it has been updated for 4.0+ as it has been sorely missed! There is however one slight bug which makes it unusable for me at the moment:

With this theme enabled, the 'Add-on Bar' (or status bar in my case since I use the statusbar4evar add-on) becomes the same size (thickness) as normal toolbars. I've tried disabling the 'statusbar4evar' add-on to see if there is a conflict, however the Add-on bar still remains too large.

If the bug with the add-on/status bar could be fixed this theme would be perfect.

Needs more work Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Needs more work. Just mainly tool-bar buttons have been changed, leaving the Preferences, Page Info, Add-Ons, alert dialogs, and other windows look like they did in Strata.

When I think Firefox, this is the theme I imagine. It's been too long since I last used this theme, but it's still as pleasant to use now as it was then.

Good job on keeping this "Stripe" look alive!

I love this theme! very good implementation - better than Realfox- of the oldschool firefox 1 theme (which was the best default theme ever).
i used it in FF 2, FF 3 and now FF 3.5. however, i recently switched to ubuntu linux, and with some ubuntu themes the menubar letters can dissapear when hovering. if you encounter this problem add the following code to your userChrome.css:

menubar > menu[_moz-menuactive="true"],
menubar > menu[_moz-menuactive="true"][open="true"] {
color: inherit !important;
}

Thank you very much for upgrading the theme to work with FF 3.5. This was the last thing i needed to upgrade.
I'm having a small issue though. In all menus the items are too close to each other, because of 0 padding.
So I'd suggest to change menu.css this way:
.menu-accel,
.menu-iconic-accel,
.menu-text,
.menu-iconic-text {
margin: 0px !important;
padding: 1px 0;
color: inherit;
}
