Improvements needed. Rated 4 out of 5 stars

For those like me wanting only to use this addon as a way to bookmark a page to read later on, I am forced to have 3 items around on my Firefox UI:
1) a ScrapBook menu option. Just to select Save As bookmark!
2) a first button ScrapBook. Just to quickly allow the sidebar to show up to see the bookmarks saved.
3) a second button (no name for it) showing on the status bar. Just in case I would want to edit a saved page. I don't want, as I just want to bookmark the page to read later on.
In total, 3 items to use this addon normally! There is something wrong here with these 3 items, as I just want to add bookmarks with it!

For those like me who wants to use this addon only to bookmark pages to read later on, you could do as the Save-to-Read addon does (at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/save-to-read/?src=search) that is have a + in the address bar and I would just click it and it would automatically save the bookmark. Then I would only need to have a single button to toggle quickly to show the sidebar (no ScrapBook menu needed and up to me if I want to have this button on the status bar to edit pages). You could allow the option of showing the "Select Folder" window when I would click on the + symbol in the address bar to bookmark a page.

Thanks to consider this suggestion, at least for the users like me who want to use this addon only to bookmark pages to read later on (and possibly have the option of edit pages later on but that would really have to be an option only).

You could even add a second symbol in the address bar for the action of saving a page, say a minus sign for instance.

Thanks to the developer of this nice addon.

Migrating from Opera 12 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Superb!
Now I tune Firefox to switch from Opera 12. Among other problems, there is one with transfering the Notes. And ScrapBook is the best solution among all the tested extensions. Thank you.

First impressions - Feature request Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I find this add-on quite useful, however:
1. I would like to have in Customize... a button for "Save page as > Root folder" for 1-click saving of a page.
2. I would be nice if there was the option not to ask for confirmation when deleting a page.
3. I would like to keep the option to "Save Page As" the old way; occasionally I want save pages on the desktop, with the option of either saving html or whole page. This is a different use than saving a page to read later and then delete it as I use Scrapbook for.

a bookmarking feature request Rated 5 out of 5 stars

"Save Link As Bookmark" -- could you add this please? I sometimes really need to bookmark, not to save, the link without opening it. Thanks for the excellent work.

I just tested: this add on trashes, really trashes, your hard disk when you start Firefox; my WD RE4 drive is screaming for its mother. disabling the addon: no HDD-problems whatsoever. Dev doesn't respond to it.

Moving folders in tree hierarchy Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Really great extension : the reason why I'm still using Firefox.

All the more so since I patched tree.js and tree.xul (code available on demand) to be able to move folders in the tree hierarchy as any other item!

new bug? Rated 4 out of 5 stars

this addon is a must for any firefox user.
I have saved many a webpage that the website owner 'cleverly' didn't want me to save.

recently I have noticed a bug and a lost feature.

the bug :

if the sidebar is shown then saving completion is shown by an pop-up alert. but the scrapbook pop-up doesn't appear if the scrapbook sidebar is hidden.

the lost feature is the bottom bar that showed the scrapbook info when user set it to be shown from the scrapbook button. now that firefox has removed the status-bar user can't access this button and so he cant set the info to be shown.

Stagnation of the evolution Rated 1 out of 5 stars

When there was specifications change of the FF, this author escapes well.
It was so before.
There may not be mind to perform maintenance quickly.
I gave up continuation use of this add-on, and I shifted to the following substitute add-on.

Scrapbook 1.5.11 is not working with FF36.0 Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Great program until FF36.xx. Made a temporary rollback to FF35.0 (FTP site mozilla, ) and hope there is a solution very soon.
Two other bugs are 1. if there is a @import URL is the original CSS file these files aren't imported and used in the total index.css (scrapbook version) 2. it juggles the iframe files into a funny, but correctable, mess.
So hopefully there will be a solution soon and I'll be :-)) again.

When I updated to Firefox 36.0 Scrapbook stopped to save images! It keeps only links to it. I had to roll back to Firefox 35.0.1 to keep it work.

Bad addon Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This addon does not actually save the web page. In just stores information about it somewhere in [C:\Users\*Current user*\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\*Your profile*\ScrapBook], so the page is unreadable without this addon installed.

Feature - Crop webpage save image to folder Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Hi..

This is a very good add-on. All our notes are at local hard disk. (Not in some hosted environment) Only one missing feature as i thought of is, snapshot of "cropped" webpage, saving that to notes (Just like evernote, abduction add-ons). If possible please add this. (Or can you specify - is this possible at all with code modifications ) If this feature available, then it is just like a full package.
