Should Be Included With the Browser! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I've included this add-on in a portable version of Firefox on a USB stick. It makes it easy, while giving a presentation, to share links, etc. without having to create and save the QR images somewhere.

Great add-on Rated 5 out of 5 stars

easy to use, just mouse over the icon, gets the QR code without extra interface / leaving current page

Simple, quick and very useful Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This Add-on is on my must have FireFox Add-ons. Very simple idea: you want the link of the site on your computer to be copied to you cellphone ? Hoover over a small icon to instantly generate a BIG QR code to scan it with your smartphone. Not wowed yet ? The developer managed to blow my mind away when I found this: any text content on you computer browser can be quickly copied to your smart phone ---> simply mark the text ----> right click ----> "Create barcode from selection"----> Done

Flawless Add-on, Limited Install Rated 4 out of 5 stars

PROS:

Works flawlessly and fast. Exactly what I needed.

Great that I can view the QR code in a separate tab for saving & printing.

CONS:

No obvious way to use this until you manually place the icon in the navigation bar (Mac: view/toolbars/customize -- then drag the little black square).

Would like to see it in the Tools menu, in lieu of adding another icon to my nav bar.

Would be good if there was a status bar icon -- previews show it, but nothing there for me.

Mouse over doesn't work in Windows Rated 3 out of 5 stars

The mouse over function is very handy and works fine in Mac. However it doesn't work in my two Win7 PCs. Any settings I should check?

Unfortunately I haven't got a Windows7 machine to test with. What version of Firefox are you using? Do any other extension's custom tooltips work?

Wondering how to get it to work!! Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I am wondering how to get it to work. I have installed it and restarted the browser, but still can not get it to work. If someone could help me with this, then I will change my rating.

Icon isn't on toolbar automatically

Sorry, I haven't worked out how to make the icon appear on the toolbar during installation yet, all you need to do is 'customize' your toolbar (View | Toolbars | Customize) and drag the mobile barcoder icon (a square 'target') to your toolbar.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

I like the idea and have now installed ok. Shame the website and support links are never updated. What about a version for Explorer? nothing on your site.

I concur that this is an excellent add on, but what really is needed is the barcode able to be spooled to a printer. I would suppose that would entail automatic barcode generation for each URL page by the website designer. It would be a website designers tool that I suspect most websites would want. Why not, as every printed page would be in effect a bookmark that could be scanned by a smart phone and lead right back to the page's source URL. Perfect for searching priceline or expedia and saving data on select hotels. Someone should develop that utility I think. Anyways the mozilla add on it great! One of the best.

Awesome addon! One more feature, and it'd be perfect: ability to save the codes as images.

Works on Debian 6 w/FF 7.0.1 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Fantastic addon.... with one minor exception, when you click on the little black box in the address bar it opens in the same window instead of a new tab.

Not Working Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Worked for a while, then for the last 3 versions of Firefox didn't work at all. Seems like a problem only I'm experiencing though. Perhaps a Linux issue.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.3.0).

More details needed

I'd certainly like to make sure it works on Linux (it seems to work on Linux for me). Could you give some more details of what part doesn't work, and the distro & firefox version you're trying with? You can send to firefox at antimatters.co.uk

Room for improvement Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Improvement: Middle-clicking the button should open the addon's options. Right-clicking should allow to swapping between the source that generates the QR Code / Data Matrix. You could even allow scrolling up or down on the button (if it's possible) to changed the size of the output; the current size indicated by some pixel font letters on the button.

Works as advertised.

Works in 7.0.1 after dragging button to toolbar. Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Got Firefox 7.0.1 today, used review directions to get Barcode button back click View > Toolbars > Customize, then drag the Barcode button to your preferred position on your toolbar. Works great.
