This add-on will starve ya. Rated 1 out of 5 stars

It does nothing whatsoever. Mozillia should make 0 stars an option, not just for Starvy, but for other extensions as well. Someone gives instructions how to install an older version which will then automagically get updated. Could be. I'll try, and report back. But what a hassle.

WTH! Does absolutely nothing! Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I was expecting it to provide a subscribe button (like Pocket does for single pages) and maybe a Quick View button (like Pocket does)... but it literally does nothing. No buttons available at all. No options (to connect my Feedly account). DO NOT BOTHER!

Does nothing Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This has to be one of the most pointless add-ons ever created. No toolbar icons, no menus, no notifications - nothing. If you want to use feedly, just create a bookmark.

Doesn't notify Rated 1 out of 5 stars

The icon is just a link to their website, which is not necessary as it just sits in your browser and eats memory while a bookmark doesn't. Moreover what would be really useful are notifications, which this doesn't provide.

Please add https support for the button Rated 4 out of 5 stars

For those who have pro plan, they need a easy way to access their HTTPS feedly reader.

This is a good tool, but a fresh install of the newest version doesn't add the icon to toolbar or let you easily add feeds. You can fix that by following these steps:

1) Remove it if it is already installed. Restart Firefox.
2) Click on "Info" just underneath "Support E-mail" on the right hand side of this page. That will show you the page with the older versions.
3) Install the previous version (Version 16.0.500).
4) Let it be upgraded to the new version, as normal. That doesn't seem to break anything.

Well, it can be managed better

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Didn't get the idea.

Update: I just read many other reviews... It is correct that the problem is not for me... We didn't even understand how to use it. No icons, nothing... Just bullshit

Great alternative to RSS Ticker. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I used to love RSS Ticker. I read news from twenty different websites and having stories scroll across the bottom of my browser window was extremely convenient. It used my browser history to know which ones I've read and only displayed what I hadn't. Unlike similar extensions, it had the ability to create its own toolbar and used favicons as well. It also randomized the items and restricted the length to a certain number of pixels for a smooth and clean appearance.

With the most recent updates, the author has decided to do away with these latter two features. He explains why on his personal website, stating in summary that it would take much more of his time to maintain these features and it's not worth it anymore. Without randomized items and restricted item length, though, I lose the benefit of getting all my news in one place at one time, since, time permitting, I may as well visit each of these websites separately. Its appearance has gotten remarkably worse without the maximum length restriction. Since these features require extra programming, the older version of RSS Ticker is not compatible with any versions of the browser after 21. I went as far to avoid browser updates and continued to use Firefox 21 until a few days ago when 26 was the most recent release.

I've tried contacting the author to see if he could prioritize these two features above the several others he decided to remove. He did not respond. I gave him time but clearly he doesn't appreciate the users of his products very much. I was willing to donate to him for these changes, but the failure of a simple response to my appreciative post eliminated that possibility. Don't take me as someone who complains regularly. I have worked in customer service and so I know how awful complaints can be, and I've only complained about services a few times in my life.

Due to these shortcomings, I finally decided to switch to feedly. Despite the fact that it doesn't run on a toolbar, all it involves to start is a simple button on my bookmarks toolbar. Setting it up is extremely quick and easy and it uses browser history as well as clicks from other users to generate its stories in the form of a magazine. It is a full browser experience so it's something new to get used to, but so far I like it a lot. I tried to stand by RSS Ticker as long as possible, but it doesn't make sense anymore. I suppose I will be directing that donation to feedly instead.

Прекрасное дополнение, использую его и в десктопном браузере и на Андроид. Нареканий нет, рекомендую как лучшую RSS-читалку.

Feedly- Add-on Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Seems to not be working, I dunno- I see no icon, no button, no way to point an RSS or Atom feed to feedly. I don't understand the purpose of this app, removing it and taking it out of my favorite collection. I guess I'll just access the old fashion way. Oh am using the newest FireFox 25.0.1 and am on a Mac OS X 10.9.
