What This Privacy Policy Covers
This policy covers how EmailTheWeb treats personal information that EmailTheWeb collects and receives, including information related to your use of EmailTheWeb services. This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that EmailTheWeb does not own or control, or to people that EmailTheWeb does not employ or manage.

Information Collection and Use
Similar to other web services, EmailTheWeb records information such as account activity (e.g., storage usage, number of log-ins, actions taken), data displayed or clicked on (e.g., UI elements, links), and other log information (e.g., browser type, IP address, date and time of access, cookie ID, referrer URL).

EmailTheWeb does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or non-affiliated companies except to provide services you've requested, when we have your permission, or under the following circumstances. We respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims; We believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of EmailTheWeb's terms of use, or as otherwise required by law.

EmailTheWeb is committed to protecting the security of your personal information. Your ID and Password
EmailTheWeb uses Google Accounts for authentication purposes. This protects your privacy because your credentials are checked by Google and your password is never revealed to EmailTheWeb. It is your responsibility to choose a password that is difficult for someone else to guess and not to share the password with anyone.

Google Contacts
EmailTheWeb has the option to optionally link to your Google Contacts. In no uncertain terms will EmailTheWeb ever permentally store or copy any of your contacts' information or send them anything other than your specific emails. However, EmailTheWeb may temporarily cache your contacts' information to improve perfomance of the site.

How does EmailTheWeb use the information collected?
We use aggregate user information to enhance the user experience in our network of sites. We use tracking information to determine how well each page performs overall based on aggregate user demographics and traffic patterns to those pages. This helps us continue to build a better service for you. We also use the information to fulfil your requests for certain services, such as managing your third party relationships, sending out information on topics you agree to receive, taking actions on your suggestions and complaints or requests etc.

Does EmailTheWeb use cookies?
EmailTheWeb uses persistent cookies to help us determine who you are when you move through the EmailTheWeb system. This saves you time so that you don't have to sign in every time you want to use EmailTheWeb again.

Use of Cookies
A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard disk by a Web page server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you, and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you.

Use of Web Beacons
EmailTheWeb web pages may contain electronic images known as web beacons (sometimes called single-pixel gifs) that allow EmailTheWeb to count users who have visited those pages and to deliver co-branded services. EmailTheWeb may include web beacons in email messages in order to count how many messages have been opened and acted upon. Web beacons are not used to access your personal information on the EmailTheWeb sites and services; they are a technique we use to compile aggregated statistics about EmailTheWeb web site usage. Web beacons collect only a limited set of information including a cookie number, time and date of a page view, and a description of the page on which the Web beacon resides.

How does EmailTheWeb protect the privacy of children?
EmailTheWeb should not be used by children under the age of 13 unless they get their parents' or guardians' permission first.

Acquisition or Changes in Ownership of EmailTheWeb
In the event that EmailTheWeb is acquired by a new entity, our email address database would be considered part of those assets, and may be part of those assets that are transferred. Once transferred, EmailTheWeb will destroy its copy of the database and not utilize it any longer.

Notification of Changes
EmailTheWeb may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If the Privacy Policy changes in the future, we will not use the personal information you have submitted to us under this Privacy Policy in a manner that is materially inconsistent with this Privacy Policy, without your prior consent.
