Gone Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Is (was?) an excellent addon. But with firefox 40 it simply disappeared. It is still in my list of addons, but the icon and the menu point are not there any more. Too bad.

Oh that's very strange. I will take a look at it. Email me at fred at mozilla dot com if you would like me to tell you when it's fixed.

Thank you for using my add-on!

Very good! Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Very good!
Easy to use and does what's supposed to do.
My only complaint is the icon, which does not fit well with the new Australis toolbar icons. (Maybe in the next version...)

Oh, I just read this. You're right I need to fix this button. It's also not very high visual quality, so I'll probably need to replace the icon with something similar but higher resolution. Thank you!

Still using old version as 1.2.4 doesn't have the right click context menu option.

Extension disappeared Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Working nice for me on Firefox, but stopped working on PaleMoon. No toolbar button, no context menu, nothing. Version 1.2.4 installed but no traces of it can be found outside installed extension list. Will rate it based on performance on my home computer, which is great.

EDIT: Version 1.2.2. works great, sticking with that.

Great add-on! But with the last update (1.2.3) it has disappeared from app-panel and context menu in Private mode, so... Not so great anymore.

Upd: In 1.2.4 was fixed. It's great again! :)

OH NO, that is a bug. Thank you very much! I will fix it.

VERY useful for me since, because I am using the vimperator extension, I don't need to show any "address bar". But I think that the notification feature should be an option.
Thanks.

There already are Firefox keyboard shortcuts to do this. Ctrl+L followed by Ctrl+C, then no need for extension. Adding keyboard shortcuts to extensions as one person requested are almost certainly going to conflict with other extensions or with Firefox itself. Such issues can be resolved but it is best to avoid them.

Very good idea, but would it be possible to get an option to put CopyURL icon inside LocationBar ? Would not it be the best place for it anyway ?

Adds very useful functionality to Firefox.

It would be great to be able to use a keyboard shortcut also (any one - I remap them with Customisable Shortcuts anyway)

Thanks for your review! I filed an Issue to add a keyboard shortcut soon: https://github.com/fwenzel/copy-url/issues/3

Seemingly Useful Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Sorry to say this, folks, but with no toolbar button this plugin makes no sense. It still takes 2 clicks to copy the URL. I can do exactly the same with no plugin at all. How? Bring the pointer to the page url, right click, copy. That`s all. Exactly the same with no plugins. Will be waiting for the button though.

Thanks, that's a very valuable review, I hadn't considered that. I'll look into what is needed to put a toolbar button up! Stay tuned!

Update: Version 1.2 adds a button to the add-on bar at the bottom of the window!

Wonderful - any chance of a button? Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is great!

Any chance of a version that uses a toolbar button?

I really miss UrlBarExt which allowed me to copy a page's URL just by clicking on its icon in the toolbar...
