Simple but extremely useful tool for front-end web development. Just click on the icon, hover over the area you'd like to know the hex color for, and click. Saves a lot of time that used to be used by digging through CSS or copying images to a photo-editing tool.

simple and flawless. the auto-clipboard option will grab your color in two clicks, ready to paste into your photoshop, css, or whatever else you've got going. Great tool for web developers, saved me much time. thank you developer!

A great add-on until FF3.5.3. Now it screws up FF, downloading a page takes for ever as the download keeps freezing. Please, please sort this, I'm lost without this add-on.

Excellent add-on. Has been serving me well for those tiny color adjustments you sometimes need to make to a page. I wish the eyedropper worked on Linux, though. If I weren't developing on Linux, I'd give it a full five stars.

As a Web Design/Developer, this is something I use on a daily basis, unitl it stopped working with the FF3.5.3 release.

Please, please, please can you take a look to resolve?

I use a desktop tool instead of this one. But this one is very good as well.

This is a super useful addon for me, almost as much as Firebug! It helps so much, thanks so much for making this! 5 Stars, you deserve it!!

Great tool.
It saved me lot of work: snapshot, run paint, paste, eye-drop and copy color.

Does not work in Ubuntu Karmic + FF 3.5

It used to work if I recall correctly. Well, yes, I had been using in Ubuntu since I remember, now it just complains about the OS.

Great extension + No Linux support = broken. :(

Great plugin, broken in Ubuntu Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I absolutely love this plug-in and depend on it as a developer. However, it's completely broken and seemingly unfixable in Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope (64-bit), and none of the workarounds listed on colorzilla.com fix the pop-up error message. I guess I am stuck with an OS-level app instead, which doesn't update the color as I roll the mouse around the web browser. :(

While the extention comes in handy it's clunky, almost invisible in an overcrowded status bar (I long for the day when extentions like this will go into the menu structure or toolbar(s) where they belong.
The DOM inspector doesn't work with FF 3.5.2 under Vista or Linux nor are the instructions much help, For a simple colour picker it's adequate but not much else.

ColorZilla is a really great extension for serious and novice web designers, I love the colour picking tools and with just a couple of clicks you have handy colour palettes plus being able to find out a web sites exact colours, the list goes on. I am rating it 4 stars because it seems to make my browser lag a little plus I have colour picking software on my pc which does the same job without slowing anything down, no offense meant. This is great for those who love the functionality from inside the browser and I will try it out again in the future when I get a better spec pc. Thank you and keep up the good work.

Personalmente me está resultando muy útil. En la revisión del contraste entre los elementos que forman parte de las páginas web (especialmente porciones concretas de las imágenes) y sus fondos. Buena extensión y recomendable.
